Excellent hotel in a historic building. Amenities are great and a bit quirky (see how they bring the luggage to the upstairs rooms). Staff is very nice. The Italian hotel on premise is Michelin listed.

The charm and character of the hotel put it in a class of its own. The staff on the front desk were super helpful. Long after I have forgotten the modern glass slab that we are currently staying in, I will look back with real pleasure on our stay in George Town.

The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. In particular, Kumar who was manning the front of the house and check-in was most accommodating and left an indelible impression on us with his generosity and making the stay most memorable.

The staff was great, especially Kumar at check in. Hotel and rooms are beautiful, historic, and quaint. On site restaurant had an excellent Valentine’s Day set dinner, and the breakfast included the next morning was perfectly done.

Great hotel to stay in Georgetown! First the staff was amazing, always ready to help, gave us several tips, marked the must see places on a map and how to get there, they were all great! The hotel is well located with main attractions walking distance: hotel is really well kept. Restaurant is really good and the service was really good. Rooms were clean and the daily treats were really good. Overall I would go back, no hesitation

Superb in every way. This former Penang shophouse has deservedly won awards as Malaysia’s best boutique hotel. The location is excellent, and the decor lovely, but it is the service and the staff that take it well beyond 5 stars. Over our 10 night stay we were made to feel simultaneously like family and celebrity VIPs. A bonus is the 4-times Michelin recognized Italian restaurant (Il Bacaro) on site.

Wonderful Hotel

Loved the hotel! Beautiful restored building and great location. The Eggs Benedict and croissants with homemade coconut jam for breakfast were absolutely amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hotel was in a great location and really beautifully renovated with historic charm. Incredible, our favourite hotel this trip!

We had a wonderful time staying at Campbell House. We felt incredibly welcome, the rooms were clean and well kept and the hotel kept so much of its heritage and charm. The staff were wonderful, the terrace was lovely and the on-site restaurant is break. If we are back in Georgetown, we will definitely come back here!

Staff are helpful and friendly and close to the attraction. Lots of restaurant is nearby. Something can be improved, the WIFI some sometimes is not working when in the room and no USB plugin on the bedside. The experience is excellent and the breakfast at the restaurant is delicious

Campbell House is a lovingly restored hotel in Georgetown. We stayed in the Loft and Opium rooms and loved it. The owner and her team treated us like royalty. Highly recommend.
