Our key card didnt work for the majority of our stay. We spent quite a bit of time having to call the main desk to get someone out to open the door for us. The key card would not unlock the internal rooms, so at one point we were locked out of our bedroom. Could nt close the door if noone was in the room. There was a very strong disgusting smell coming from one of the toilets, so we avoided using this and kept the door closed. Stove top lights didnt indicate the right element being used. No spare blankets. No face cloths, no shampoo or conditioner, very minimal kitchenware eg 1x pot, so there wasnt actually much benefit of having a kitchen. If we hadnt of encounted all of the above this would have been a nice place to stay. We chose to stay here over a motel because of the oven/stove top which we didnt benefit from.

We loved the location and ease of access to the freeway and nearby shops. The rooms were overly spacious and the living area more than big enough for all of us. The separate ensuites were great for the older kids and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking

Great self-contained units on Deakin Uni campus

The apartment was nice and clean, self contained unit with kitchen, and laundry facilities. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment was upgraded to a 3 bedroom. The living area was air conditioned, with ceiling fans in the bedroom. We propped the bedroom doors open all day so the bedrooms did not get too hot. The apartments are not serviced daily but that was not a problem for us. Parking was paid for by app or daily by machine by the residential services but you can only get the app with an Australian mobile number. Ideal if you want a space that you can cook in/ do your own laundry and be left to your own devices. I booked this accommodation as I had people to visit at the university but it is very close to all the sights along the Great Ocean Road.

Room wasn't air conditioned (a bit of an issue on a really hot night but I'd brought my own fan) so I got caught off guard a little. I was told I'd get an in room fridge over the phone, but this wasn't the case. Overall it did the job.

Three bedroom apartments perfect for groups or families, very comfortable & the staff fantastic. The university grounds are lovely & even when fully booked it was extremely quiet. Great location not far from shops & train station, with bus stop on site. Only criticism is the bathrooms were not 100% clean with lots of bugs around, but overall great value for money & would definitely stay here again.

Not nice! Unorganised, unkept room was not as stated, had trouble finding the reception (not the only people) did not supply enough towels and did not bring additional to the room when it brought to their attention. Had to pay for parking. Would not stay again

Good Value University Accommodation

University rents out room in accomodation block. As summer holiday, hardly anyone there. Stayed in single room. Shared Bathroom and facilities which were clean and good.

Horrible DONT stay there

Dirty used room. Given a different room that I shared with resident cockroach family. Bathrooms shared were very dirty and unhygienic. Not happy.

enjoyable stay

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment style accommodation, nice view, nicely furnished, great facilities and cleanliness, each room had comfortable beds and ample storage, there were provision for laundry and ironing which were very handy. Enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend to others.

The rooms are new and clean. Excellent for the price. There are 2 big wardrobes in my room, and laundry is for free. The building I stayed doesn’t have air-con, so the first floor may be too warm in hot summer days, but the ground floor is quite cool.

Great place to stay

The accomodation was located in the middle of everything, basically. Luckily we stayed during off campus period so we don’t need to worry about parking. This place reminds me of when I was a uni student.

Good value for money

The hotel overall was good for value. Pros- good value for money, rooms were spacey and the apartment we stayed in was quite big and easily accommodated all of us (6 adults and 1 baby) hotel staff were helpful with questions. Utilities - good amount of everything you would need to cook along with washing machine and dryer. Cons- No extra pillows. Rooms got quite warm as they had ceiling fans but the only air conditioning was in the lounge so we had to have our bedroom doors open to circulate air. We were looking forward to having a bbq but the bbq was not maintained at all and looked like it hadn’t been touched in a very long time with spiders everywhere. The fob system we got locked out of our bedrooms 3 times which was concerning as we had a baby so we had to have to bedrooms door stopped open all the time. The staff were friendly into opening the doors back open for us but it was inconvenient. Overall we will stay again. Thank you.

Clean and large rooms. Close to the mall with multiple restaurants. We were there when university was closed so very quite and plenty of space to park.
