With the Galena Territory Owner's passes you will have access to indoor pool, outdoor pool with slides and a zero entry pool for kids, 225 acre lake with marina, 4 championship golf courses, indoor basketball court, state of the art fitness center, game room, and 31 miles of biking/hiking trails. The Shenandoah Riding Center, a convenient general store, the Eagle Ridge Resort and Stonedrift Spa are also located within minutes. All this within the Galena Territories you just nestled into. You are only 5 miles outside of historic Galena. It is known as "The City that Time Forgot" for its rich 19th century heritage. More than a thousand buildings in Galena are listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the U. S. Department of the Interior. Galena's Main St is the place to dine, drink and shop. There's plenty to do in the winter months as well. The best skiing in Illinois is 20 minutes away at Chestnut Mountain. Chestnut has over 220 rolling acres and 475-foot vertical drop are home to 19 ski trails and a 7-acre terrain park featuring over 25 rails and structures. It was quiet, clean, and spacious—perfect for a long weekend friends’ getaway. The stunning fall scenery and peaceful neighborhood within a short walk to the waterfall created the ideal setting for a relaxing trip. The only drawback was the limited transportation options to and from downtown Galena, but we’ll plan ahead for that next time. We immediately knew it was a dead mouse. We contacted the owner and he sent someone to get the mouse out. During the night we woke to mice running around the bedroom. There were multiple, and could not sleep at all with the noise. We contacted the owner and he sent pest control out. Pest control found another dead mouse and said there was a problem and set multiple traps inside and out. They found holes in the house that the mice were entering. The host told us we probably want to find somewhere else to stay, same day? Very hard in Galena!!! Most of the time you would be out of luck. We were just lucky another host had a property they had just fixed up and first day on VRBO. Otherwise, we would have had to cut our vacation short. It’s crazy how clean the other place was in comparison. It was also very beautiful for less. It was a blessing in disguise. I just can’t recommend ever staying in this house. ##### Jean H. Two sitting areas are nice for extra space. Lots of games and books for a variety of ages. Kitchen is very well stocked. I loved the screened in porch- we saw a mama turkey and her babies and it was wonderful for bird watching. We always love having access to the owners club as well. The property owners were very responsive to questions and were even kind enough to let us check in early. It was a great stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the house! ##### Sarah A. Access to the Owner's Club is amazing. We spent every day there swimming, playing ping pong, bags, and basketball. My husband really enjoyed the screened in porch and that is where he could enjoy the sounds and block out the sounds of the kids when they were being too loud I loved completing the 1000 piece puzzle while looking out at the beautiful backyard. We started our days at the gym and game room at the Owners Club. My daughter and I swam laps one morning too. It was warm enough to sit on the deck in the afternoons and play games after shopping on Main St. This home was stocked well with paper products so we didn't have to run to grab anything. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the primary bathroom too. ##### Brandee C.
