Experience the cozy cabin life this season and spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Come out to our ranch, it will be perfect for you and your loved ones to have lots of space and get outdoors! This home is spacious along with the 10 acres it sits on. Rest assured of our Enhanced Cleaning Protocol to keep you and your family safe! Our cabin is on a beautiful 10 acre ranch used to spend some time away from the city and indulge in a relaxing time. Our property is also less than a mile away from the entrance of Lake Ray Roberts, Isle Du Bois entrance where there is so much to do; more on this below. This is a working ranch therefore you might find one of our workers feeding, watering, bathing, or brushing the animals, watering the plants, grass or trimming bushes or trees or other job duties. Sitting on a 10 acre working ranch, don’t be surprised if you wake up in the morning to some horses in the nearby pasture. Light the outdoor fire pit to roast some s’mores and take advantage of the private outdoor patio. Choose to eat on the large wooden dining table or dine out on our outdoor family style picnic table. This is a working ranch therefore you might find one of our workers feeding, watering, bathing, or brushing the animals, watering the plants, grass or trimming bushes or trees or other job duties. But don’t worry you will still have your privacy! Lake Ray Roberts Isle Du Bois entrance is just 0.7 miles away from our property! Be advised that parks have reduced their capacity at this time. We strongly encourage making day pass and camping reservations before you visit. Reserve them online or by calling 512\_389\_8900. Lake Ray Roberts things to do: On land, you can camp, hike, bike, ride your horse, rollerblade, geocache or go backpacking. On the water, you can swim at one of the beach areas (no lifeguards on duty), paddle, or wet a hook in the kids’ fishing pond or the lake. Or enjoy quieter pursuits: photography, nature watching, or simply relaxing! At the marina you can rent boats, fuel, boat slips, jet skis, and kayaks. Fish the 29,000-acre Ray Roberts Lake. Anglers catch largemouth bass, crappie, white bass and catfish here. The current lake record for largemouth bass is 14.07 pounds. The park has boat ramps, a marina, a fishing pier and fish cleaning stations. This cabin was the perfect solution. Super close to Ray Roberts Lake as well, so I could check out some nice walking trails in my down time. My only critique is that all of the frying pans had non-stick coatings that were really scratched up. So, if you are planning to do your own cooking, consider bringing your own pan. ##### Emily L. We loved the horses. They were right outside the cabin and my kids loved interacting with them. We could see the stars at night which was great. There was pond just yards away and a trail we walked at night on the property. It was easy to find places to eat at and Ray Roberts Lake was half a mile away. The location was wonderful We enjoyed watching the horses in the pasture and the pond and beautiful backyard. The sunset was amazing. However, we would like to give some feedback on the cabin we stayed in. First of all, when we arrived the cabin heater was not set and it was cold inside. There was no instruction on how to set the heater so we had to call the contact to get the instructions. There was no place to hang our clothes, there were no wash clothes. The bath linens seemed like they were just left over old linens that were provided and not a very good quality. Most Air B&Bs we have stayed in had plush luxury hotel quality bath linens. The bed linens as well seemed to be of low quality. We found an iron in a lower drawer in the dresser just by looking around. There was not ironing board. Since we were there to attend a wedding we needed to make some touch ups. Most facilities provide these items. The cabin in general was plain and did not provide a very comfortable, inviting environment. We have stayed in places that were much nicer and at a lower rate. We feel like the value we got did not match the rate we were changed. A suggestion for welcoming in guests would be to leave a small basket of snacks, bottled water or bottle of wine with a welcome card. The AC or heater should also be turned on prior to arrival so that the guests feel comfortable when they arrive. Another suggestion would be to provide side tables by the chairs and sofa with lamps in the living room and another bed stand and table on the other side of the bed. In other words, the cabin was not decorated or furnished in a warm, comfortable and inviting way. ##### Wayne C.
