The room was very clean and welcoming - the staff were ver accommodating and friendly as well... Excellent option for a stay in Fukuoka!

Only stayed for 1 night here, but we had a good time. The staff were really nice, very polite and helpful with our queries. They assisted us on getting a taxi to take us to the airport. The rooms were nice and clean. Their location is close to some convenience stores.

Good Simple Hotel that meet expectations
Just a simple hotel with good customer service and they allowed us to early check in. Hotel is nearby to the area we want to go. will stay again

Great budget hostel
All is great except Two things. 1) directions to the hostel by train could be better if it was stated in the website from which Subway exit number (fyi its exit 5 if im Not mistaken) 2) because i travelled during winter, the toilet and shower was located outside of the dorm and its freezing in the middle of the night and I had to put on my winter jacket whenever i need to shower or go to the loo. Hence it was not convenient for me (the coldness literally wakes u up in the middle of the night). I won't stay here if i travel during winter.

Amazing service and, quite frankly, a beautiful property. Everything was pristine, guests were all respectful, and felt reasonably private despite shared rooms. Laundry was very reasonably priced as well. Breakfast is decent, and the common area is very well maintained. To be honest, everything here was perfect. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

it has been a very nice stay at Montan. staff were extremely friendly and helpful. reception breakfast /lobby area is very cosy.. very nice to be around.

Very convenient, just a 10-minute walk from Hakata station. There're 24-hr convenient stores close by. Great amenities in a triple room. Amazing breakfast, especially potato salad! Highly recommend, we would definitely come back here again! Thank you montan Hakata Hostel! :)

I stayed there overnight with my two daughters. We got a room to ourselves. The room had a bathroom and two bank beds and a TV. It was soooo nice! They also serve breakfast. I would stay there again and again!

The beds were a bit small for a tall person. The 10am checkout is too early - and the staff asked me for ¥500 when I asked if I could check out 1 hour later!

I like the location, the free breakfast/beverage and the shower room, but the bed not comfortable and I requested for low bed but they gave me bed at the top when the low bed is available after I went to the room. It’s very inconvenient for me to pack my luggage when I have to catch my early flight, also disturbed other guests, I hope they can read customer requests carefully.

This is a return stay after travelling to another city. Everything very nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable. Spacious bed. Would choose this hostel again next time in Hakata.

Excellent location near subway station Higashi Hie and 15 minutes walk from JR Hakata Station. Modern, clean and cozy. Bed spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Fast check in and check out. Simple breakfast included which is good enough for me. This is my second time staying there. Recommended.

The private room is larger than regular hotel with nice little couch and space for you to arrange your shopping. Although the free breakfast is not much and nothing to enjoy, the convenience of the city is there for you to get nice breakfast nearby.

Overall a clean and cozy hostel. We stayed in the triple room and it’s spacious. The only downside is breakfast - would be better if they have a bit more varieties. We stayed for 3 nights and have had enough of breads for breakfast...

A hostel is still a hostel. What's the main difference between a hostel and a capsule hotel? The separation between your luggage and the bedroom. I painstakingly experienced the difference here at Montan. I really wanted to leave a nice review especially since the staff were nice and friendly. But all the kindness could not mask this hostels true mechanism. Mixed Dormitory/Bedroom - First off, if your a light sleeper, tough luck. It's a bunk bed type style: one bed on top, another on the bottom. Once you climb in, there is a black out curtain you can close. However the top and sides seep in a good amount of light, hence the worthlessness of the black out curtain. Nicely painted walls and wooden bed material - thin as paper plus it seeps in light from the top bunk. Insomnia. I heard the top person snoring as if he was righ next to me. AND I was wearing earplugs. Sad. The tiny locker is next to the beds. You can barely put a small backpack in there. People rummaging late/early- more noise. Stingy and dumb points -Tiny locker -Locker in same room as beds -Want a towel? Pay up. Want a tooth brush? Pay up. - Tiny Showers (Shower room is excessively small yet the changing space is unnecessary large = Fail) - Toilet room - Small = Fail (best to use the lobby toilet, much more space to avoid head banging) By all means, I highly recommend staying elsewhere even if it cost a bit more.

Off the main map, good stay.
Great hostel. Approx 10-15 min walk from Hakata station in quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the large common area to hang out at end of the day. The room was cold when we entered. They need to leave instructions to use the ac/hearing unit in room in English.

Modern and comfortable stay close to Hakata
The hotel is conveniently located near Hakata Station. The hotel was very modern and staff spoke some English. Everything about the hotel apart from the fact that because I stayed in a dorm room, the bed wasn’t made and I had to make my own bed late at night.

번화가에서 조금 떨어져있어서 동네가 조용하고, 1층에 음식도 해먹을수도 있고, 쉴수 있는 테이블들이 많이 있습니다. 한국인 직원분도 계셔서 한국인들이 이용하기 좋습니다. 4인실을 이용했는데, 객실내 화장실 뿐만 아니라 공용화장실도 추가로 있어서 화장실 사용이 편했습니다.
