And the breakfast was good. Staff was super. My only complaint is that because some floors were smoking, sometimes the lobby area smelled enough like cigarettes to give me a headache. Location is good for new Shinkansen station. The breakfast buffet was tasty. The hotel is about a 10 min walk from some restaurants and a supermarket. It is an easy walk next to a major road and some rice fields, but it is lacking in streetlights and can be very dark. It is about a 15-20 min walk from Echizen-Takefu station. The staff is friendly. They do not speak English, but this is expected - some attempt to engage in basic Japanese (and a translator app) will go a long way. Plan ahead if you want to call a taxi - at check-out, I was told that the next available taxi would not be available for another 45 mins.
