Gorgeous hotel and lovely small pool and pool bar. Great location to get into town or beach.
The staff could not gave been friendlier or more helpful. I felt they all became friends -- from the house keepers to bar staff, receptionists and managers.
Highly recommended. I will return here on my next visit

I really liked the location of the property. It was easily accessible by public transportation at any time of the day and because of the location, you can feel safe taking public transportation even at late hours of the night. The staff there were excellent and very attentive and pleasant. Every single staff there was incredible. One thing that I did not like was the fact that every guest had to stop at the front desk and wait for the staff to call up to the room before they could come upstairs. I think this is a bit invasive to someone's privacy. As long as the person knows what room or suite they're going to, they should be allowed to just go upstairs. Not every guest wants everyone to know who is coming to visit them. I don't believe people are just randomly walking into hotels from the street if they don't know who they are coming to visit. I personally, would like to see this changed.

However, we noted your observation - due to previous experiences and to further provide guest with the needed security - we have to check on every personnel that comes to visit a guest, in most cases we implore the guest to please leave the name of the expected person at the desk and we ask them to your room politely, that will help us to protect you and reduce your privacy invasion

I didn't get the room that I booked at first and was put in an apartment off site of the hotel. They did however get me moved over as soon as they could. We did get in trouble for swimming after hours, but we had not seen any signs on the hours the pool was open. Overall, a great place to stay because the staff is amazing. They have been there for several years and tend to remember you. A very nice touch. Plus they will go over and above to make your stay good.

If you are tired of the 'sameness' of the usual chain hotels this is a good option. A smaller hotel within a short ride of the hustle bustle of Lumley and the beach. Nice sized rooms which are well appointed. Competitive rates. Distant sea views. The staff are very friendly and work hard to make your stay a pleasant one. A special mention for Elizabeth who appears to be the 'problem solver' at the property. A great place to relax after a busy day.

Good hotel and good services-AVOID HOTEL TRANSPORT
Great hotel and great experience.
My only qualm was the fee they charged me for transport from the airport to my hotel (you may be aware you need to take a boat into Freetown); service was said to be 'VIP' but I ended up waiting for more than an hour for my boat to come while the passengers I passed by in the queue surpassed me on their boats. The boat is $40 each way and the hotel charged me $120 each way (3x the already expensive boat ride price). Once I found out the price relative to the service that was offerred (my secretary booked it), I cancelled the return. The accepted after a bit of back and forth.
So definitely arrange your own transport.

The air conditioning did not work, the toilet overflowed, the shower leaked, the WiFi was on and off.
The restaurant was okay, but broke a tooth on a bone in the rice.
Most surprising is that I have never seen so many hotel staff sitting around doing so little work.

During your first day with us, the only report that got to us was the status of the air conditioning in your room which was rectified immediately. We however did not find any report of leakage in the bathroom and overflow toilet. We ensure that our maintenance team are always available to carry out routine check and attend to any case of emergency. But we will investigate further and continue to conduct daily inspection of all the rooms and facilities to ensure they are in excellent condition for our guests comfort.
We appreciate your comment about our restaurant and we are equally surprised to hear you broke a tooth on a bone in the rice, as our Kitchen team always ensure all food preparations are carried with utmost care. We however always aim at delivering the highest quality of service to our guests and this can only be achieved through the feedback of our customers. Placed in new bldg which required crossing dark ppl full unsafe road. No working phone in room. No railing on stairwell. Staff wouldn't do anything to help. To top it off their laundry lost a pair of socks. Don't Stay Here

As we advised you upon your arrival at the hotel, there were technical issues in your room. Since the hotel was full, we organized an alternative accommodation for you, just across the road from the hotel to ensure that you are at close proximity to the hotel and that you are able to use the hotel's facilities. It was agreed that you will move back to the main building on the following day. Our team tried to contact you on the day and throughout the next days of your stay with no success.
We would like to also clarify that we always have security available at the hotel and our Front Office team is always available to assist our guests. Your review has obviously been communicated to the management team whereby they will investigate further and endeavor possible improvements.

Impressed and thoroughly satisfied with service provided and attention given to details and personal needs of guests. Nothing wrong to say about this hotel. The owner of the hotel is so nice, she let us take a shower while we were leaving at midnight and checked out on the morning already.
Possibility to buy tickets for the speed boat to reach the airport.
