Dolphin Views Beach Cottage

Escape to Dolphin Views, a cozy 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage located directly on the sand with stunning ocean views. Relax on the spacious deck, watch out for dolphins playing in the waves, and enjoy unforgettable sunrises and sunsets.

Just steps from the beach, this retreat is ideal for couples, families, and fishermen. Please note - the beach is a drive on beach. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and all the essentials — linens, towels, washer/dryer, and even a BBQ grill for seaside cookouts.

Pets are welcome, and while parking is nearby rather than under the house, the location offers unbeatable access to the beach. With its charm, convenience, and breathtaking views, Dolphin Views is your perfect coastal getaway.

Parking & Access
Parking is available on a nearby street (not directly under or next to the house). Guests should plan to carry belongings about 50 feet over sand to reach the cottage. For easier unloading, you may park temporarily in front of the house on the beach with a $30 annual Surfside beach pass. Please note: beach access can be busy on holiday weekends.

Water Information
Surfside city water is not potable. The cottage has a whole-house filter (safe for bathing, laundry, and dishes) and an under-sink reverse osmosis system for drinking water. City water is out of our control; we are not responsible for quality/color but do provide drinking water at the kitchen sink or alternatively feel free to bring your own drinkable water.

Important Notes
• Maximum occupancy includes all overnight guests and day visitors.
• All guests must be listed on the reservation. No third-party bookings.
• Hurricane/Storm Policy: We strongly recommend travel insurance. Refunds or date changes are not available outside our cancellation policy.
• Security cameras are located at the bottom of the stairs and under the deck at the front looking out to the beach. They record motion for safety.

The host was quick to respond to questions and sent detailed messages with check in and out info. Accessing the property was easy as well. The house had everything we needed. The appliances looked new. The tv and internet worked well. The deck was our favorite space. We even saw dolphins.

Vrbo was not upfront about the parking situation. I rented beach houses before. I have concrete below for parking. This particular house you cannot park close. You have to carry all your belongings through . It’s only in the fine print. Had trouble entering the property. Was not given the keypad number until I had waited at the door for a while. If you are handicapped or have trouble walking, do not rent this house. I would not stay there again.

Listing was not up front about having to park quite a distance from the house. it’s very difficult to unload and carry everything through deep sand. If you were handicapped or have trouble walking, I would suggest you don’t stay here. It’s a beautiful view, but no parking. They should tell you this upfront not in fine print.

The property is named "Dolphin View", but the only view this property offers is of oil rigs. The house was clean and the bed was comfortable. The steps leading up to the house were in good condition. The porch lights put out a lot of light, but that is the only positive things I have to say about this property. I felt unsafe during out entire stay. The kichen floor sagged. I felt like I might fall through it. The deck needs updated. I felt unsafe to even walk on it. Just trying to get to the house was unsafe. It required parking on a dead end street and then walking through brush and a small sand dune to reach the property. I actually fell down walking on the sand just trying to get to the property. There was a board with a rusty nail right beside where I landed! The water in yhe house is YELLOW so we felt unsafe to even shower in it. The front door lock is old. We felt unsafe and left the property after only being there for about 15 hours. I was thankful we did not have little kids with us because there was a consistent flow of traffic driving both directions on the beach including cars, trucks, and golf carts. Surfside has 6 liquor stores, but no real places to shop of eat. "Surfside" and "Dolphin View" are very misleading and we were very disappointed with our short stay.

I cannot say enough about how my family and I LOVE this home. It is right on the beach and has everything you need for a perfect stay. My dogs are always welcome and they love being there. The host is amazing and always accommodating. This is the only home we stay in now. This was my 4th stay.

The location is what you’re paying for. Imagine waking up each morning and being the only one on a breath taking beach. But beware …. The smell of the water coming through the plumbing smelt like raw sewage and the mold/mildew from the house being closed up was a bit strong. A couple of hours with the windows opened allowed us to sleep peacefully with the waves in the background. Be prepared with a case of water, and candles and you will be set. This is not meant to be a negative post…. Just want others to be prepared.

Private Spot on the Beach

Love this property. Stayed for our 30th Anniversary. Amazing views from the deck. Just steps from the water. Great AC and appliances. Comfy furniture. No interruptions. It would be a ideal place for a couple and up to two small children. Very cozy and within walking distance of two restaurants.

Great location, poor communication and response from owners.

The house sits right on the beach which is great. When we arrived half of the house did not have power. The AC unit would run for a few minutes and then turn off. When we contacted the owner and she said that her husband was out of town and that he normally handled these things. So the first night we couldn't cook or cool the house. They did come out around 11 the next morning and fixed the power to the house. Howeber, the AC still would not run properly. I did attempt to contact the owner to let them know about the AC and never heard anything back. We were unable to cool the house for the duration of our stay.

We are returning guest to this property. We love the home, location, and host. You can’t get any closer to the water than this home. We love that they allow our Fur Babies. The home is clean and well stocked with all that you will need for a wonderful beach getaway. Plenty of food options close by as well. You will not regret choosing this home
