The cottage is clean and quiet and you'll see cows and deer from your windows. It's about a 20 minute drive into town, which was fine with me because I preferred being outside of town. Bankersmith, which is basically a restaurant/bar, is a few miles away and worth a stop. The cottage is also close to Luckenbach and to numerous local wineries. Loved seeing all the animals in the area. It's located in their ranch with 4 cabins, but they are distanced for privacy. We enjoyed watching the cows on the ranch along with the deer, turkey, and various birds at/near the property. We also enjoyed the hot tub along with the breakfast items & snacks provided. There is a fridge, stove, cookware, plates, glasses, and utensils to use to make meals at the cabin. Main Street in Fredericksburg where alot of shops & restaurants are at is only a 15 minute drive to town and Lukenbach is just a few miles away. There is a great burger place about 3 miles away called Alamo Springs Cafe, which we highly recommend checking out too. If you are looking for somewhere to get away from the hustle & bustle of life, this is definitely the place to come. It was amazing. It is so quiet and relaxing there. We thought we'd go out to Fredricksburg but neither of us wanted leave. Yummy breakfast and snacks.
