Just a 10 minute drive to historic downtown Franklin and a 20 minute scenic drive to beautiful waterfalls and breathtaking mountain views! The hot tub was a major plus after a long day of riding motorcycles in the mountains. Nestled up in the woods, it feels like you're miles away from anyone! A little mis communication on check in was quickly resolved by the owner. Location can be a bit tricky find. Be sure to read the supplied directions carefully. The driveway is VERY steep. We traversed it on motorcycle without trouble, but it could pose a fair challenge to most average skilled motorcyclist. Hope the cabin is available the next time we visit the area! ##### Scott A. You feel like you’re out in the country, but you aren’t far from anything (grocery, gas, Walmart, restaurants, pharmacy). The cabin can fit 4 people, but we felt that it was plenty cozy with 3 of us (parents + teenager). We loved the big covered porch, the grove of pine trees off of the porch, and the hot tub. The fresh eggs were delicious! You have to drive some, but Franklin is a well-located and good-priced base for getting to other towns in the region (Sylva/Dillsboro and Waynesville for eating & shopping and Bryson City for rafting and ziplining, etc.).
