Location: It's located in the old town so everything is an easy walk. This includes restaurants, pubs and sites. Parking is offside but only a 5 min walk and convenient for access and departure. Hotel: Comfortable basic rooms that is good for a 2-3 day stay. Staff: Very nice and helpful. Gave suggestions for restaurants and things to see.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and it was wonderful. We arrived in Bamberg on Sunday morning (well before check-in) and were able to store our luggage and we were also given a map of Old Town and a list of cafes that we could visit while we waited for our check-in time. The room was lovely and spacious, and the air conditioning was a nice surprise (and very welcome with the unusually warm weather. It is a real castle that you stay like in middle age but with modern comfort e.g. villeroy & boch dinning wears, heated towel bar ... The restaurant and rooms have good view. The breakfast are excellent. They pay a lot of attention to details, even to the boiled eggs - 5 minutes and keep them warm in a blanket wrapped basket. Extraordinary experience.
