Island Princess 201 Enjoy this beautiful updated gulf front condo on the snow-white sands of Okaloosa Island. The emerald green waters are a feast for the eyes and the expansive beach is a wonderful playground for exploring or relaxing to the sound of the surf. Take in views of the dolphins and pelicans feeding in the shallows from the private covered balcony with bar height chairs. This condo rents Sunday to Sunday during peak summer. Sundays are less crowded on the roadways entering Okaloosa Island and the elevators will not be as busy. Our gorgeous completely remodeled condo is located on the second floor directly on the beach. You will enjoy the view and sound of the gulf from the master bedroom and living area. There is sliding door access to the balcony from both. We want you to feel at home and furnished a leather sectional with three recliners, a leather swivel chair and large flat screen TV. Our condo has three bedrooms, each with its own private full bath, and its own flat screen TV. There is a king-size, queen-size, and a twin over queen bunk with 4 inch memory foam toppers for you to enjoy. This is an allergy friendly unit with coastal wood-look tile throughout. The beautiful open concept kitchen boasts tall raised panel cabinets with beautiful granite countertops. There are three swivel stools at the countertop bar in addition to the table with a seating for 7 with three on the bench. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances. The refrigerator has an in-door ice and water dispenser. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare meals for your family. We invite you to vacation here, enjoy time at the beach, and make some memories. Island Princess has a pool heated as long as temperatures demand it to 85 degrees. There is also hot tub near the pool. Other activities to enjoy at the beach would be kayaking and stand up paddleboarding. Ask the beach service about rentals. There is a barbecue pavilion with gas grills and a fitness center on site. There are plenty of parking spaces available. We do not own an assigned parking spot. Unit 201 is only a few steps to the stairs and the new elevator installed in 2018\. We also include free beach service from March through October to include two chairs and one umbrella daily. New washer and dryer in the unit Free WIFI Keyless entry Okaloosa Island is located off of the busy Emerald Coast Parkway with less crowded beaches. This complex is convenient to restaurants and activities. Nearby restaurants include: AJ’s Oyster Shanty, Asagio’s Skillet, Old Bay Steamer, Fubar (a bar that serves pizza), and a new addition in Stewby’s Seafood Shanty, my favorite local seafood joint. There is a large store selling beach items at the entrance to Okaloosa Island. Brooks Marina is also nearby with a boat launch, boat storage, and pontoon boat rentals and jet ski rentals available. A short drive would be the Boardwalk with a fishing pier and shops and restaurants. There is also a gulfarium . Across from the Boardwalk is Wild Willy’s Adventure Zone with animatronic mini golf, a treetop ropes course, trampoline jump and arcade. They will also add laser tag and go-carts soon. I would recommend visiting HarborWalk Village six miles away in Destin. There are several restaurants there, shopping, and activities for kids and weekly events including a fireworks show in the summer on Thursday nights. HarborWalk is where the fishing charters are based and you can book a fishing trip or just see them bring in and clean their daily catch. There are many boat tour options to include snorkeling, dolphin watching, sunset viewing and a large Pirate ship replica for children. There are also pontoon boat rentals, jet ski rentals and parasailing charters. At night, you will see many people on the beach with flashlights looking for hermit crabs and other night creatures. Bring along a flashlight to join the fun. We welcome you to our gulf front condo on the beautiful beach of Okaloosa Island. Beach is nice and they allow tents which is a plus. 3 negatives 1- pool gets super crowded. imo it is too small for that many units. 2- location is great until you have to run to the grocery store or Walmart…then its 10 minutes there and 30+ minutes back due to constant traffic jam in Fort Walton beach.Same w restaurants. I was worried the 2nd floor wouldn't give us a great view but had no reason to be concerned. A sand dune topped with sea oats lies straight out from the balcony, giving us a bit of extra privacy, and we could still see the water and plenty of beach, so we knew what to expect when we headed out each day. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the balcony. The kitchen is well stocked. There is a staircase, elevator, and trash chute near the condo entrance; we did not experience any noise the entire week from them, and they were really convenient for us. (There is another elevator bank and staircase in the middle of the complex which I'm sure minimized the traffic on our end of the building.) The beach access was convenient and beach service folks were accommodating. In-condo laundry was so handy. And it is genius to have a dehumidifier in the condo - it made the air so comfortable. All in all, no complaints except that the week ended too quickly! ##### BL M. It was beautifully decorated and well maintained. The appliances are updated and worked great. The beds were very comfortable, which is always a plus. I had no problem with booking and check-in was a breeze. I would definitely recommend this condo, and the beach on Okaloosa Island is always awesome. ##### Barbara M. We have stayed in other units and have several friends that also stayed in other units and this one is the cream of the crop. Please note that the two beach chairs may not be available during the peak seasons unless you get to the beach first thing in the morning and then you are not guaranteed a seat in the front which caused some unhappiness with me because I have kids and it was difficult to see them in the water. Mrs Johnson is looking into this for future stays. Ms Jackie the housekeeper is amazing. She is always wanting to make sure any guests are happy. We will be staying here again. ##### Jacqueline D. Jun 7, 2017 #### Both of our girls got head lice here, and they re Owners are absolutely ridiculous. As soon as your card is charged they couldn't care less about you. Both of our little girls slept on the sleeper sofa and both got lice for the first time in their life. Of course when asked about it they said the everything had been bleached and cleaned top to bottom before we got there, which was also a lie because their was toys, boards, and a beach bag left in some of the closets from the last people there. TV in the living room also didn't work. Knobs constantly fall off the pantry and kitchen drawers, one of the closet doors is coming off the track, hot water doesn't stay on long enough to fill a tub halfway up, ceiling leaks in this unit and the one next to it (when maintaince was notified they looked at it for about 2 minutes and said let me know if it gets worse) and these people had the nerve to tell us we would not be getting our deposit back because they had to do excessive cleaning!!! Sure wish the would've done excessive cleaning before we got there maybe our little girls wouldn't have gotten lice. We did check out an hour late, however when the man came to clean he said it was absolutely no problem because he could see I was in the middle of vacuming and shaking the rugs out anyway, he said he would just grab a coffee and come back. He said he appreciated it because most people didn't even do that. So we swept up, emptied all trash, vacuumed, cleaned the tubs, made the beds, cleaned the counters and fridge, ran the dishwasher, even put the thermostat back where found it. Left it cleaner than when we got there. I get an email two days later saying they had to clean so long that it really costed them over what the deposit was so they would not be refunding me anything. They even took it a step further and two days later emailed me what it cost them to treat the condo for the lice! As if it was our responsability to treat the place for the lice they already had!
