This was the most clean motel I have ever stayed in. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful. There was no breakfast available, but there was plenty of hot coffee. We were able to park right outside our door. The swimming pool seemed a bit dirty, but we weren't about to use it in October anyway. The motel is about 9 miles from the Marfa lights viewing stage and we were able to clearly see the lights.

The Riata Motel is Marfa's most reasonable accommodation. The Riata meets all the basic needs for an affordable stay. The rooms are large. The beds are comfortable. The restroom is clean. There's a microwave oven and small freezer/refrigerator, also. Our room had a very nice sofa and large screen TV. There's great ice available in the lobby. This is our choice when we visit Marfa.

Not a lot of options in Marfa, but this place had what we needed. Mostly in the form of cold A/C. Staff was great, friendly and helpful. Room was updated and clean. You're a few minutes from everything in Marfa, makes a great base from which to explore.

The room was clean and comfortable with a small table with 2 chairs. It did not have a breakfast. Internet was sporadic and slow. After asking the clerk about the internet, he responded "that is just the way it is". We were charged twice for one night. We called the clerk after returning home, but he was not any help solving the problem. We have a pending case with Wells Fargo. The cleaning staff kept coming by 2 hours before check-out to see if we were packing up to check out. We will probably not stay again if in the area.

Great Stay

Riata Inn was exactly what we wanted for our stay...the room was very large, the cost was much better than many of the options in town and the location was blocks away from everything we wanted to do in Marfa.
