I will stay here again

Its a basic hotel at an excellent rate considering you get free ready to order breakfast with fantastic portions. Eggs, toast, bacon or sausage and hash browns. They took great care of us. Both check ins were late at night and someone was ready to serve us even at 2am.

It was convenient for a short stay, even though it was non smoking the smell was evident in the room. Bathroom could do with an upgrade with no hair dryer in room. Restaurant was excellent.

Nice stay in Tumbler Ridge

Had a great stay at this location. The staff was wonderful and the hotel was a perfect place to lay down for a few evenings. The hotel is dated but very clean. The wifi doesn't work much at all, but I didn't really use it much either. Rooms were clean and roomy enough. Make this hotel a great kick off point for adventures in the area! Breakfast didn't start until 8, which I found odd for a hotel that appeared to cater to workers. All in all, I would return and stay here again.

On our trip through Alberta and British Columbia this was the worst hotel for the highest price. The room smelled musty. The carpet was stained and damaged. The armchair was so disgustingly dirty that you didn't want to take anything down. Old furniture. The towels had holes in them. The heating had to be repaired first. No HD TV and constant picture disturbances. We actually wanted to stay several nights. Fortunately, we only spoke one night at first. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was best.

VERY happy except for.....

Stayed one night while in the beautiful Tumbler Ridge golfing, hiking, exploring (I have stayed before, but years ago). The reception staff were EXCELLENT; friendly, professional & helpful. The breakfast is wonderful (a FULL meal); & again, excellent service. The building has had a facelift & looks great; with the bedroom clean, freshly painted & new furniture (including very comfie bed plus it’s handy to have the fridge in-room). What we were disappointed in was the bathroom. Not only was it desperately in need of an update (see picture of walls & lino by toilet), it also wasn’t particularly clean - & I’ve travelled all over & am not that fussy (esp in the corners). I will come again; however, will ask if there is a room with an updated bathroom first.
