Electricity is rationed to three times a day for 2 or 3 hours, making it an eco-friendly experience. Wildlife can be spotting easily on the property and, of course, inside the park, which is why you are here anyway, right? Rooms are reasonably priced. For those roughing it there’s a campground nearby. The Tikal Inn is ideal for sunrise or sunset trips to the Ruins as well as a “home-base” for visits to Uaxactun, Yaxhá, or even El Mirador. Wonderful place - quiet, wildlife, close to ruins. Richard and Jessica in front office were extremely pleasant and helpful. Food and restaurant staff good. Local guide Nixon is very good. Nice stay. Mayan art and masks in the lobby. Staff as great. A couple hundred yards from park entrance.
