While the place was beautiful with an amazing view, there is no privacy given by the host. Rather, our experience with the host was quite disruptive and hostile and as she came into the house twice without any notice nor reasoning. She also didn’t wear a mask while her property was advertised as “contact-free”. We were interrupted for half an hour on our second day, just as we were just about the leave the house for a hike. We were questioned unnecessarily with questions such as why the futon bed was open. In addition, we were misjudged for our age (25-30 year olds) and we were asked if we were going to party and were consistently asked what we going to do with the place. The day of checkout, the host came to the house once again at 10:30 am (check out time is 11am) and expected us to give her the used towels so she can begin washing. As we gathered the towels (we were not expecting her to be half an hour early), we told her that someone will shower before we checkout so there will be one more dirty towel, she rolled her eyes and gave us attitude.
As a group of Masters students who went to spend one last weekend together to relax, make some good food, and have a good time together while enjoying the view of the ocean, our experience was totally ruined by unnecessary intrusion and questioning, which led to a lot of time being wasted and our hike being shortened as there was not a lot of time left before sunset.
If you are looking for a BNB to relax, rest, and enjoy the nature, we would highly recommend a place that does not feel hostile.
