The stay was fine. I guess I'm just over paying for "names" when the room quality is no different, and perhaps worse, than, say, the new boutique hotel down the street. I think a lot of these old prestige name hotels are resting on their laurels and feel they don't have to update their rooms to compete (the sofa in my room was stained for example..not a huge deal but unexpected for a WA). The housekeepers must also be timed/forced to clean x number of rooms within x amount of time because the bathroom sink, shower, floors all had hair that was not mine.
The WA customer service is excellent (save for when I called to have my car brought around and no one answered at the front desk OR concierge, requiring me to wait 10 minutes once at valet) but I'm not sure it's worth the cost anymore.
