Very nice, some problems with room availability
Lovely riad, great service and nice location. When we arrived they didn't have a room available as it had been double booked. They hadn't sent us any message about this. We were asked to stay at another hotel down the road, in a room which wasn't as nice in a hotel which wasn't as nice. Apart from that, once we did get into the room we reserved it was lovely.

This was a great riad to stay at during our time in Fes. Zaca and Fatima were great staff who we could always rely on to accomodate our needs. The first night was a bit rocky because the water wouldn't get hot for quite some time and the heater in the room took time to warm up as well. Having said that, we used the hammam and the massage at this riad and we loved it. Fatima was great at the hammam and the spa. This Riad is a short 50m walk from the main road and you can park very closely incase you have a car, as we did on our first night. Breakfast is great in the mornings here as well. Would highly reccomend this riad to anyone who is planning on spending some time in Fes. The walk to old medina is about 15 minutes but not bad at all and you see a lot of cool artisan shops on the way.

it was a very nice Riad, in the heart of Medina. They welcomed us with a pleasant mint tea. All details are beautiful, and service is very good. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was nice, with the Morrocon classics, egg, and fresh fruit juice. We highly recommend!

Took money, didn't honour booking,refuse to refund
I would strongly advise not to book this hotel. We had booked for one night (December 25th) we chose this hotel as it advertised parking. This is not the case. There is no parking aside street parking, the nearest being some distance away. When we eventually arrived at the hotel having had to walk with our luggage, it appeared that they did not have our reservation. There was a difficulty with language, but in the end, no matter what I said, it seemed to me that there was no room. we were then literally turfed out into the street. This is where things became quite unpleasant. We were surrounded by groups of men who demanded money from us. Whilst in other parts of Morocco, people we encountered wanted a tip for directions or watching the car etc, this was very different and it was the only time we did not feel safe. The lady from the Riad who I spoke to saw this, but did nothing. She literally, turned and walked away leaving us to it. When we got back to our car, even though I gave the men all the cash I had, (about 500MAD) they demanded more and became quite aggressive when I could not give them any more. We did manage to get our luggage into the car, by this time they were banging on it, and damaged the boot. I have since been in touch with the booking agent to request a refund, however the hotel refuses to refund the money we paid, even though they did not have a room for us. My advice, stay away and book somewhere else.

The property was nice but located in a very rundown area. The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel manager wasn't always forward with us though. She gave us a quote for laundry and the bill would be 3x higher, she would over promise activities during excursions and be very vague with details. Not recommended if you have kids.

We had an amazing experience at this road, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. We got our room upgraded twice free of charge. The riad is also very well located, walking distance from everything. I would highly recommend!

The staff made this place a standout of our trip
We had a great stay at Riad Zamane for three nights in January of 2020. the photos of the room, riad and decor really don't do this place and it's renovation justice and as far as comfort goes, our personal room stayed super toasty and getting in to bed each night was something my wife and I really looked forward too after wandering through the chilly medina all day. All that being said, what really set this place apart was the staff. Breakfast was great and the crew as a whole could not have been more accommodating. Everyone in the kitchen did beautiful work and the room service staff did an incredable job. The doorman Oumar was a big-time standout as well. He was such a great, incredibly helpful, smiling face to wish us a good day each morning and welcome us back each night. He even went above and beyond to walk us to dinner our first night in town and answer questions about the city. I really can't sing the praises of the staff here enough and will recommend Riad Zamane for years to come.

Beautiful riad but wanting in a few amenities
The riad is beautiful but our room left a little wanting. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. However, our room was on the terrace with our windows overlooking a different room's private balcony, meaning if they sat on their balcony, we could hear their conversations, and the light shines in to the room. The room also had a very old, musty smell. Probably the biggest factor for the low rating was that the wifi did not reach our room.

It is located in a very quiet neighborhood. Ask the taxi driver to drop you off near the bus station instead or else they will drop you off somewhere else and you have to walk through the confusing Medina. Medina is just a 5-10 mins walk away. The staff were kind and helpful. Room was big and clean. It is an older building so it smells a little weird each time you enter the room. The room isn’t very bright. One thing to note is that it echoes loudly within the raid. If there are guests dining and chatting on the main floor court yard, it gets very loud.

Beautiful property with 20 ft ceiling in foyer/lobby area, beautifully decorated in the locale style. Welcome tea offered. 24 hr concierge. Very safe, public terraces available to guests at all times. Security inside hotel is very safe. We stayed in the rooftop suite with the private terrace, very private and well decorated. Staff is wonderful, amazing cleaning. No elevator and several winding stairs for those with mobility issues. About a 10 minute walk to the blue gate. Mini convenience stores at end of street selling cold drinks and snacks. No fridge. Breakfast available from 8-10ish.

We stayed at RZ for 3 nights and it was excellent. The hosts were very hospitable and accommodating to our requests. The patio was awesome and would highly recommend spending time up there to enjoy the sights and sounds of Fes. We parked in the lot down the street and our car was safe. The riad was very close to the blue gate and convenient to many sites around Fes.

Very Aesthetically Pleasing & Good Location
The Riyad was aesthetically pleasing and in a good location so there is easy access to the old city but literally a few minutes walk to the outside area. Breakfast was nice and homely and can I say the cleaning service was amazing! In all my years I haven’t seen my clothes folded so well and the room organised so nicely! The hammam was also a good experience and Saeed spoke good English to assist us where needed and was very friendly. We also met the owner who was very pleasant and spoke to us about how she bought the Riad and how she had it transformed to how it is today. Would definitely recommend!

This place is like a little palace- the architure, the decoration and the super generous size of our room and ensuite bathroom ( room Safir)., made us feel like royalty. ( only minor royalty!). There was even plenty of wattage - unusual in Morocco. Said and his assistant, Said, were very welcoming and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay Zamane Fes! The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. We especially enjoyed spending time with Said - he is the best! The riad is beautiful, and our room was always kept extremely tidy by the staff. Zamane Fes is in a great location, enabling us to explore the entire medina on foot. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of breads, jams, yogurt, eggs, coffee and tea! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

looks better on the photos than in real life.
During our stay in this Riad, we found that the service there was really excellent and the Riad was very traditional, authentic and with beautiful Moroccan decorations. But there were also some major drawbacks. For one: the room was definitely not a 4 star room. It was very spacious, but the bed linen, the couch or the wardrobes were simply not 4 star quality. The bathroom was small and cramped and the shower was built in a way that the bathroom floor got soaked even when we were really really careful. The wifi was slow and bursty. Overall, the room was pretty run down and outdated and at night, there was a clear smell of trash that came in from the road as the windows were not tight enough. Food wise, breakfast was ok. The dinner they offered was authentic, nice, good and the atmosphere was pleasant. But at over 30 euros per person it's quite expensive for Morocco.

Our stay was short but the staff were very friendly and accomodating of our early breakfast time. The room was clean and spacious although the wifi didn't really stretch to our room. Nice shower and comfortable bed. The roof terrace is pretty with a good view and the courtyard is pleasant. Good location for the medina also.

Amazing riad, exceptional service!
Amazing riad right in the middle of the medina. Very ethnic ambience, great food and even better service. Everything from our train station transfer, to the medina tour to the massage was arranged and organized by Kenza before we came, and we loved the hospitality of the staff including Fatiha and Saeed. Loved everything about our stay here...definitely recommend!

Beautiful riad nearby the Medina
We had booked an airport transfer which found the riad with no issues - the riad itself is fairly hidden down an alley and signage is a bit obscure, but we did find it with no issues as we arrived during the day. We booked through Expedia and checked in with no issues, had to fill in some paperwork and we were served tea and biscuits while waiting for them to prepare our room, which did take awhile (about 40 minutes). Their staff had kindly taken our bags up to our room for us and we did enjoy the beautiful courtyard at the time, so it wasn't too much of an issue. We booked the junior suite for the four of us, and it was fairly comfortable - a double and two singles in a room with a good amount of space for us and our luggage. Beds were comfortable, pillows were soft and there were extra blankets (the nights can get a bit chilly). The water pressure was good, and plumbing worked fine. Towels were refreshed as needed (although we were initially only provided with three towels for the four of us, and two bathrobes, but that was easily rectified. The hotel itself is beautiful, from the central courtyard to the rooms - the tiles, the colours and the decoration really made it feel very special. Most of the staff spoke Arabic or French, so we did have some trouble communicating when it wasn't the manager, but they were so friendly and so helpful that we really didn't mind at all.

our stay in fez was very enjoyable. The staff made sure that we are comfortable. Room facilities are excellent. Staff was very helpful and spoke English and French fluently. We will recommend this hotel to any one visiting fez.

For the money spent I cannot think of anything negative to say about Riad Zamane. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is nicely located in the Batha and one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. We only had breakfast there but I can guess from the quality that dinner would also be outstanding. Try the omelet! Nadja and Tahair and the rest of the staff were wonderful hosts and if I ever make it back to Fes Riad Zamane is where I will stay.

Great traditional riad, super location and staff
This riad was such a pleasure to stay in that we ended up booking an extra night! It's decorated in a traditional Moroccan style, clean, with pleasant, friendly and superhelpful staff. Five minute walk from the shopping souks in the Medina and also 5 minutes away from all the eateries.

Beautiful and clean riad
The riad was easy to find compared to the ones we stayed in other medina. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the blue gate from the riad and there is parking near the riad. The riad door is locked during the night and it is in a very quite alley. The riad manager was super nice and helpful! We arrived very late in the night. He waited for us to arrive and he let us rest without worrying about check-in that night. He didn't know that we had three people traveling together, so the extra bed was not prepared. He gave us an extra double room to stay for the first night. Very heart-warming after the tiring travel! The breakfast was very nice with fresh orange juice and Moroccan pastry. The lobby/dining area is very pretty. There is also a roof top for enjoying sunset and sunrise. You can see the medina, royal tomb from the roof area. very nice view! The only inconvenience was that the wifi was in and out in the room so I had to walk around the room to send msgs.

This place was just like the pictures. The services was incredible. They were really helpful and nice. They arranged our pick up from the airport, a city guide and they even packed our breakfast the morning we were leaving, so we had food for our next trip. Really, really a nice place while you visit Fez.

We had the most wonderful stay at this Riad - four nights in total. The Riad is an oasis in the middle of the medina. The hosts are most welcoming and very helpful in planning excursions and arranging for reliable transport. We recommend this Riad without hesitation.

Pretty Riad in a great location
Very welcoming Riad with helpful staff. The Riad Courtyard is very pretty and we stayed in the Zafir suite, which was very stylish. The Riad is about 10 minutes walk from Bab Bou Jeloud, the main entrance to the Medina, but in a nice quiet area, which was a mixture of Riads and ordinary residences. This meant it was a lovely relaxing place to return to after day exploring the hustle and bustle of the Medina. The staff were great, although a smattering of French comes in handy with the day staff. They arranged taxi transfers to and from the airport for us and, whilst we were confident exploring Fez on our own, were clearly happy to help other guests out in sourcing guides. We had dinner in the Riad one evening, which is definitely worthwhile as the Chicken, Lemon and Olive Tajine we had was excellent and its courtyard is a nice spot in which to eat.

Good location in the Medina.
If you haven't enjoyed the experience of staying in a classic riad, this one is especially beautiful and richly appointed. Excellent service and food. Room lighting is too soft for any serious reading, and, naturally, there is no television, but the free wifi did reach my room.
