The cabin features three bedrooms: one king bedroom on the main level, one king upstairs, and another king bedroom on the lower level. Just off the kitchen, you'll find a screened-in breakfast nook—perfect for morning coffee. Downstairs, the game room includes a pool table, TV, and a separate exit leading to a covered grilling area beneath the deck.

With three bathrooms, a large living room, and a dining area with sliding glass doors to the deck, there's plenty of space to relax and entertain. Even if you're not into horseback riding, you'll still love everything this unique retreat offers. But if you do have horses, they’re welcome too! Brook Haven includes a two-stall barn, paddock areas, and pasture, with direct access to two trails that connect to over 75 miles of horseback riding or hiking trails.

Brook Haven is nestled in Leatherwood Mountains, a luxury resort that features horseback riding, a swimming pool, tennis courts, fishing, tubing, hiking, and a full-service restaurant with a bar. It’s a true mountain getaway!

Note: Use of the 2-stall barn is available for an additional fee of $25 per horse, per night. Guests traveling with trailers or large vehicles should be aware that Leatherwood’s roads are narrow, steep mountain roads. Only trailers the size of a two-horse bumper pull or gooseneck trailers under 20 feet are recommended. Brook Haven’s steep, gravel driveway is suitable for two-horse trailers and strong 4WD vehicles. Leatherwood is not responsible for any damage resulting from unsuitable vehicles.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, playground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).


Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.
