Wonderful location with great beds!
This house is in the perfect location to visit Fayetteville. The beds are really comfortable so you will get a great nights sleep. It is perfect for pets too.

Family reunion
Great house in a perfect location. We were in town for a family reunion and we got to stay together with family with plenty fo room, great location and amazing backyard thay was fenced in for the dogs!

COMPLETE MISREPRESENTATION!
Check in instructions mention that the basement will flood if there is rain - bad start. Once inside the overwhelming scent of cheap air fresheners will permeate your nose (red flag - covering up something) the entire place is cramped and dark. the "game room" is a dingy unfinished basement AND a garage (listing was updated AFTER my call to the owner). there is a hole in the kitchen floor, the upstairs was blazing hot with only 1 window unit barely working. The next door neighbors have dogs that bark every time you step outside. Between the smell, the cramp/damp feeling and the unusable basement, the hot upstairs we did not stay and requested a refund. Still waiting to hear from VRBO. Horrible experience all the way around. Host was rude and unwilling to compromise. DO NOT BOOK this cramped, smelly, hot, house but do hire them to do photos the photos are masterfully deceitful.

Great find in Fayetteville!
This house was so cute and had plenty of space for the five of us. The host was wonderful (left snacks, coffee pods, plenty of towels) and everything was clean. Great location for us (close to several trailheads at NRG National Park) and only a short drive to town. The only negative was the neighbor’s dog, who woke us up extremely early a couple of the mornings (no incessant barking, just enough to rouse us). But, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return to the area to explore some more of the park!

Peaceful cottage
Lovely home, had everything we needed. Nice, big fenced back yard. Quiet street. The neighbor’s dogs only barked in the AM when the lady fed them. We appreciated the welcome snacks. A couple of minutes from the quaint town of Fayetteville, the New River bridge, the National Park, and rafting. We would definitely stay here again. It was perfect.

Cozy Home with Fenced in Yard
The home was perfect for our family including our 4-legged pup. We came into the home and the owners left us some snacks for our stay. The local salsa was fabulous!! The kitchen included all amenities needed to cook a few meals instead of eating out - which was perfect. The beds were comfortable as well. We had a Great stay!!

Birthday getaway
Stayed there for 3 days for a birthday getaway. The yard was perfect for our dog, and it was a prime location to all the major hikes in new river gorge. Hosts were great, attentive, and provided a wonderful stay! Would recommend to anyone coming to stay at new river gorge.

Great Location
The house is a perfect location for a range of outdoor activities in the canyon rim area. The house has plenty of space indoors and out to include ping pong and air hockey. Our dog loved the huge fenced in yard. The is also house is well stocked with everything you need for a stay, including dog bowls!

Overall, good experience
This was a nice house with a decent location, especially the proximity to New River Gorge National Park, as well as Hawks Nest and Babcock State Parks. We loved the fenced-in backyard for the dog. The house was clean, and the hosts left us some nice treats to welcome us. My only issue was the lack of a bathroom upstairs, where most of us slept. It made things a little difficult with our toddlers, and for me (grandma), having to go downstairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. We also had to barricade the bottom of the steps to keep the toddlers from climbing them. However, there were two other very nice bathrooms, one on the main floor and one in the basement. The whole basement area was a hit with the family, especially the large shower, air hockey table, and the easy access to the backyard and firepit. Overall, it was a good experience.

Great home!
We really enjoyed our stay! Communication with owners was wonderful. They left little goodies which were a great touch and much appreciated. The home is cute and very clean. It was perfect for our family and the dogs loved the fenced-in yard just as much as we did. I highly recommend staying here and definitely will next time we are in the area!

Mini vacation
Great Place. The cottage fit very well into our plans for a whirl-wind tour of several WV state parks. The place was very clean. Communicating with the owner was a breeze. The neighborhood was very quiet and away from any traffic. The stack of wood was very much appreciated for the evening fires. Our Grandson enjoyed the air hockey game. Thanks.

My family had a great time staying here. Easy access to Fayetteville. Arrowhead MTB trails are just down the road and you can access the hiking trails within a 1/4 mile!!

great experience!
Well appointed and comfortable. The hosts were quite gracious in leaving us a big basket of snacks and Starbucks coffee. Communication with them was A++. It wasn't walkable into town per se, but it was only a few blocks by car. Terrificly large fenced back yard for our dog. We'd love to come back - it was a great point for seeing all the nearby sights and going to the bunker at the Greenbrier.

Great owners to work with. The game rooms and rain shower were definate hits with our group. Greated with special treats and the firewood made for a nice evening. Several days if morning coffee on the second story porch. Great way to start the day.

Great vacation home away from home!
The house was perfect for our family. It was extremely clean and comfortable for us. While we were not able to access the Internet using the Wi-Fi, it was actually a good thing to disconnect and do other things. The kids took full advantage and had fun playing ping-pong and AirHockey. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making s’more‘s. It was conveniently located to ACE adventure resort. We drove to the resort every day we were in Fayetteville. The owners are extremely responsive and answered all my questions along the way. I highly recommend this house And would stay there again if we’re ever in the area in the future.

Quiet neighborhood in a great location
Cozy cottage was a great base from which to explore New River Gorge area. Property description was accurate. Being able to cook meals and wash clothes made our vacation more relaxing. High speed internet a real plus. Nice extra touches such as snacks and toiletries.

Nice house and location
Great house in a great location! We walked to town, trails, and to the fireworks display on July 4th from the house. The house itself is very cute and very clean. We had everything we needed and then some as the hosts were very generous in leaving some necessary supplies and some extra treats. Thank you! The fenced in back yard was huge and my brother's dog enjoyed herself out there! The firepit was great and the owners generously had firewood delivered. Thank you again! I would definitely recommend this house!

Great location for a ton of activities
This was a cute little house to stay. Most of our events were about 20 mins away. We rafted with Ace Resorts, went to Summerville for the lake, went hiking and other things. Not a ton of places to eat but Elliott’s and the Pink Pig were close by. Found some other places at the end of the trip as well. Beds were comfortable and they had everything we needed in the house and more. Hosts were very responsive.

Great place!
We stayed here with three kids and grandparents—enough space for us to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Dining table sat 8, couch and chairs were comfy, beds were comfortable, 1st floor bathroom was nice and grandparents used that one. The rest of us used the basement bathroom which is spacious and cute—a bit of a walk in the middle of the night but fine the rest of the time. Upstairs bedrooms have window A/C units so we all slept comfortably. Great location—minutes to horseback riding, bridge, downtown, hiking, fishing. Close to ACE resorts for rafting and water park, 30 minutes from Babcock State Park for Grist Mill on Glade Creek and 20 mins from Summersville Lake for kayaking and rock jumping. Ate good bbq at Pink Pig and delicious breakfast at Cathedral Cafe. Bought a few items at Wisteria gift shop. Also, enjoyed the ping pong table with family tournaments every evening! Can’t wait to come back and explore the area more!

Wonderful getaway in Fayetteville, WV
Nice cottage home close to Fayetteville historical downtown. Lots of outdoor activities to do in the area. The ping pong table was a hit with the young and older adults alike. Our dog appreciated running around the fenced in yard. Lora and Leonard were great hosts.

Quaint home on the New River Gorge
The owners, Lora & Leonard, have a cute home that is easily accessible to highway 19 as well as many of the attractions in the New River Gorge area. In addition, the town of Fayetteville is a great small town. It boasts some delicious eats at Pies & Pints as well as the Wood Iron Eatery. Our family hopes to return sometime in the summer to experience more of the Gorge area.

Great location!
We had a fantastic time here. The house is centrally located to everything we did. You can walk to several hiking trails from the house. Close to downtown Fayetteville which had great restaraunts and food. We rafted with Cantrell, 2 minute drive from the house. We hit breweries in the area and several hiking trails. The house had everything we needed. Best weather to use outdoor fire pit. The dogs loved the fenced in yard. Would definitely stay here again.

This Fayetville cabin was perfect for our family of 5. We enjoyed our vacation and it was made even better by the location of where we stayed. The cabin is a perfect jumping off point for many New River Gorge activities. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable vacation. We highly recommend. Scary gun shots and no power
We visited here to go to the waterpark nearby. The owner communicated well but this house is old and had a musky smell. The beds were gross upstairs and one cot looked as if it had a filthy blanket on it. There were gun shots outside at 3am and we had no power from 3 until 9. The owner could not control that but I asked for a partial refund for the fact that we spend hours sweating because it was 95 degrees outside. She said no and would not change her policy. I get that WV has older homes but I was so uncomfortable at this house. The door didn’t even have a deadbolt and somebody could’ve easily broken in. The floors were dirty upon arrival and my sister got eaten alive by bugs in the middle of the night to which we still don’t know what bit her. Horrible experience. This house is no where near worth what she is charging per night. You would have to pay me to stay at this house again.

We loved the house and it’s conveniently located near the Gauley Bridge and the Gorge adventurous activities. The house was very clean, with plenty of extra towels and extra stuff that a traveler might need. The host’s hand-written notes were very helpful. They even thought of leaving s’mores for the kids to enjoy outside by the fire pit. There were enough beds for a family of 4 and games to play. The kids loved the ping pong table! Overall it was a great experience and I recommend it to any family looking for a relaxing stay near the Gauley River and Bridge.

The Coolest Small Town
The Coolest Small Town is Fayetteville’s tag line and it fits perfectly. We loved our stay at this property between the welcoming decor, the great location to all the adventures in town, to enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the backyard. The property was just up the road from a wonderful hike called Wolf Creek Trial that leads to a gorgeous creek and waterfall. We also enjoyed many hikes in the Canyon Rim National Park and ducking down the New River Gorge. The home has all the amenities that one needs for a comfortable stay. We will tell our friends about this wonderful town and property.

Enjoyed our stay in Fayetteville
We had a very nice time in Fayetteville. The owners of the house were very easy to communicate with and the home was just as comfortable and clean as it was in the photographs. The check-in process was easy and they even had a few welcome treats waiting for us when we arrived which was a really nice touch. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The house was equipped with a nice television with access to Netflix and Hulu so we were able to watch several shows. The kitchen was well-equipped also and we were able to cook breakfast each day. We enjoyed the fire-pit in the large backyard on our last night. The washer and dryer also came in handy after our rafting and hiking adventures. My daughter's favorite part was the ping-pong table in the garage. They have converted the garage into a hang-out/game-room space which was really nice. They had a grill available for use, but we did not use it. I would not describe the house as luxurious, but it was very comfortable and clean. It met our needs perfectly for the three nights that we stayed in West Virginia. The only thing it didn't have that would have been nice is a dishwasher, but it wasn't a big deal. Great owners and overall a very nice experience. I would stay at this property again and even recommend it if I knew someone looking in the area. We enjoyed Stache ice-cream, Pie's & Pints, Free Folk Brewery, and the Secret Sandwich Society. We didn't like the Red Pig BBQ. The food was nearly flavorless and the service was poor. I can't imagine how you can mess up bbq that bad unless you were trying. Probably top 3 worst meals/restaurant experiences I've had in my life. Hiked at Fern Creek....beautiful/amazing. Rafted the New River....great scenery and guide, but almost no rapids due to the section of river we had to raft due to recent high-levels of rain. Almost no thrills whatsoever, but an enjoyable day.

Perfect hiking weekend
My sister and I along with a few of our friends stayed here for a girls weekend. The owners went completely out of their way to make us feel at home by leaving a s’mores kit for us to use, and several bathroom amenities. This location is PERFECT! We were literally 3 minutes away from our favorite place to eat in Fayetteville, the secret sandwich society, only 10 minutes from ace adventures and hiking on the gorge. We plan to come back again soon with our husbands, and we hope this rental is available, because we will absolutely stay here again.

Plenty of space, great location
We planned a last minute trip to Fayetteville to check out the New River Gorge and surrounding area. Most cabins in the area were booked. I was looking for something that would give us plenty of space for us and 5 kids, without them being completely bored with nothing to do. This property was perfect for us! There was plenty of space, excellent amenities, and the kids loved the ping pong table! We were able to make s’mores out back in the fire pit. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!
