We had to stay in an anexe which was a longish way away and not very welcoming. There was a horrible smell in the bathroom. All in all not a good experience

Baustelle im Hotel. Das ist nicht schön, aber manchmal eben nicht zu vermeiden. Lage ist sehr praktisch, um den Ruhrpott zu erkunden, da zentraler Bahnhof quasi vor der Tür. Trotzdem nicht laut.

Zentral und "komodig"

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Direkt an der Fußgängerzone mit Geschäften und Restaurants. Das Bad ist ein bisschen klein, aber zweckmäßig. Nicht schön waren die Betten (Boxspring-mäßig). Die Matratzen waren zu hoch und gefühlt rund, sodass ich bei jedem Umdrehen Angst hatte, herauszufallen bzw. Probleme hatte mit meinen 1,61 m überhaupt ins Bett zu kommen. Die Servicemitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich.

Das Comfort Zimmer war wirklich groß.Fenster zur Straße und zum Busbahnhof. Aber da gutschließende verbaut sind kein Problem. Zimmer verfügte über Klimaanlage und Heizung sowie Kleiner Kühlschrank uns großen Safe, in den ein Laptop bequem Platz fand. Der Schreibplatz ist (wie fast immer) etwas klein ausgefallen. Eine Lampe, die eine Ablage im Schrank daneben beleuchtet, war beim Arbeiten am Schreibplatz störend (aber leider mit dem Licht am Platz gekoppelt. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Alles prima sauber.

Es war ein alptraum ,wenn mann mude ins zimmer ankommen und der zimmer hat nach stinkenden schweis gerochen habe den ganzen nacht das fenster aufgelassen trotzdem stink immer noch könnte nicht Schlafen . für mich war katastrophal hoch drei..

Value for money

The rating on the door was shown as 3 star, for me the hotel was friendly, clean, well situated in the town and easy to locate if you take sat-nav with a pinch of salt..... that said i have been in 4 and 5 star hotels that are not as good as this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Sehr zufrieden

Die Zimmer und auch das Bad waren in einem sehr sauberen Zustand. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und gut. Das Personal war freundlich und die Lage des Hotels ist günstig, um bequem mit der Straßenbahn die Veltins-Arena zu erreichen. Ich kann das Hotel sehr weiterempfehlen und würde dort jederzeit wieder übernachten.

Freundliches Personal, kurzer Weg in die Stadt und zur Tram/Bus, angenehme Atmosphäre im Frühstücksraum und gutes Angebot. Leider lag mein Zimmer zum Haltepunkt von Bus/Tram, sodass Schlafen bei geöffnetem Fenster nicht möglich war.

Rökiga icke-rökar rum

Det var ganska ok, det bästa var kommunikationerna - nära till allt. Trevlig personal, eget garage fina rum men helhetsintrycket dras ner av att 2 av tre rum luktade rejält med rök trots att det var icke-rökare rum. Området som det ser ut i Ruhr - ganska trist!

Meine Wahl in Gelsenkirchen

Ich bleibe geschäftlich oft in diesem Hotel. Das personal ist freundlich und es hat eine gute Lage, in der Nähe gibt es gute Ess- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Deluxe Zimmer wurden renoviert, aber auch die anderen sind gut gepflegt und sauber. Das Frühstück ist für den Preis völlig OK.

What a wonderful stay! My husband and I booked a four country trip for our honeymoon and Amsterdam was the second leg. The hotel was phenomenal based on location and friendliness of staff. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Roakin Station which makes traveling so easy. The train comes every 6 minutes which is great! We don’t have that type of public transportation in the states. The hotel is located nearby all sorts of fun stuff! We had breakfast (which is a little pricey; 22 euros a day) but a great way to start your day without going very far
