Traditional Mountain House with View, Private Terrace and Garden in Ercé

  • Renovated traditional house in the charming village of Ercé (capital of the bear trainers), at 650 m altitude, in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Natural Park, by the Garbet river. In the village, you’ll find a grocery store, newsstand/tobacco shop, bar-restaurant, and mechanic.



    Many activities are nearby: Guzet Neige ski resort is 18 km away, the thermal baths and spa center of Aulus-les-Bains are 8 km away, as well as the Cominac huts. Hiking enthusiasts can explore the Ars waterfall, the Cagateille cirque, several lakes, and museums (peddlers and bear trainers).



    The 90 m² house accommodates up to 8 guests. On the ground floor: fully equipped separate kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven, 4-burner induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, Nespresso, toaster, kettle), bathroom, separate WC, living room with open fireplace, TV, and lounge.



    First floor: two bedrooms each with a 140x200 bed, one with balcony access offering stunning mountain views and the sound of herd bells. Second floor: large attic bedroom with two 90x200 beds and one 140x200 bed.



    A shaded terrace with garden furniture and plancha, plus a lovely private fenced 300 m² garden. Electric heating is included up to a set daily amount; beyond that, it is available for an extra fee. Bed linen and towels are not provided—please bring your own. Cleaning is the guest’s responsibility. Part of the deposit may be withheld if cleaning is not done.

Nous avons passé un super week-end, le village est vraiment génial ! Entre le restaurant, l’épicerie, le parc de jeux pour enfants, le lac et toutes les belles choses à proximité, c’est un endroit très agréable et pratique.En revanche, nous avons été un peu déçus de constater que l’herbe n’avait pas été tondue. De plus, pour des enfants en bas âge, ce n’est pas forcément sécurisé : les escaliers sont très étroits et, au dernier étage, la rampe est cassée, ce qui peut être dangereux.Mise à part cela, la maison est bien équipée, notamment avec la plancha dont nous avons bien profité. C’est une maison de montagne typique de l’Ariège, idéale pour déconnecter.
