Emmaus Vacation Packages

The lodge was ok. A bit dated. We were given a room out of the main building that was near nothing. So it was a hike to get to food or anything else. Parking was an issue. Spaces were super tight. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The room is safe, clean, and comfortable with a kitchenette. It is a converted row home in a city-type neighborhood in Chester.

Hotel well laid out and loved our room but probably will not stay here again. Value and experience did not align with the almost $700 nightly rate. Misinformation on bar being open, it was not, after inviting friends for drinks so shifted to restaurant and took so long had to cancel half the round. Got back from dinner and bar closed again so no place for nightcap or dessert.

The upside of this property, and this room in particular, was certainly the location. It is literally across the street from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. If you are looking to do Philadelphia tourism, this is certainly perfectly located. The room, which was a relatively large loft, was also a positive. It was well priced given the room size, amenities, and location. The downside of the property was that it was extremely noisy. We were on the second floor and could pick up all the street noise including cars, screaming drunks, trash collection, etc. The property managers know this and do warn about it. They even provide a white noise machine and earplugs, which was appreciated and necessary. The other negative was that there were a series of annoying emails from the property managers about checking in, security deposits, etc. After we rented the place, it seemed like a part time job to keep up with the emails and electronic check in. Quite annoying. Overall, I think it was pretty good if you know what you are in for.
