Lovely stay at Albany House. Staff very welcoming, room spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Traditional old style coaching inn type hotel. Helpful staff, good choice of menus, and central location.

Room was clean and quiet, bed comfy, bathroom small (tiniest sink I've seen) but functional, plenty of tea and coffee in room, and availablity of parking and option to leave car whilst exploring the town after check out much appreciated. If on a budget it's a good choice and nice location opposite the castle, close to town and train station. Had food in the pub though which we regretted, the fish was practically cremated, batter burnt and too crispy to eat and fish therefore dry. Noone bothered to ask how the meal was so we didn't complain, should have really but tired after a long journey, so basically would advise okay for a stay over but maybe eat elsewhere

It’s a premier inn Self check in seemed ok a bit impersonal On arrival we were early and no power in hotel but all good we returned later It’s on a courtyard shared with sainsbury Penrith itself isn’t very inviting but the hotel is ok
