Two people helped me change my blown trailer tire. One of the neighbors let me park up by the boat launch in their yard so I didn’t have to walk so far. The beds and towels were very clean and comfortable. Parking was easily accessible and felt safe. Other than that, it was a pretty terrible stay. My moms friend checked in the day before me. The person working the desk gave her my room number before I checked in and WITHOUT my permission. Anyone claiming to be my relative could have inquired and put me in an unsafe position and that is my biggest concern. My safety should be respected and my permission given before my room number is given to ANYONE besides myself. The room was really just a shell to sleep in. One of the two beds didnt have a comforter. There were TV wires everywhere. There was no trashcan in the bathroom, which as a female, should be mandatory. There was an old smoke detector on the ground in the bathroom. It didnt appear to be from the bedroom because there was one there and there wasn't a place for it in the bathroom. There was not a Do Not Disturb sign so we had to go down to get one. Both of our keys stopped working the day before check out so we had to go down again. We had an iron but not an ironing board. The breakfast bagels were like cardboard and were not great at all. The second morning, things hadn’t been restocked and the offerings weren’t appealing. The room was clean but the beds were just uncomfortable. My biggest complaint was the fact that the females working on both days were loudly talking on speaker phone in the back office and in the breakfast area. Sometimes I overheard complaints they had about people staying in the hotel and other times the conversations seemed centered around her cleaning up the breakfast area (which was an appreciated act!) because they seemed short-staffed. I just think that business matters should never be handled in public on speakerphone and in the office, if you can hear them all the way to the front, the door needs to be closed. Otherwise stay was ok. The man working the front desk was very kind, as well as another man who checked us in when the first man was occupied on the phone with a guest.
