Private Oasis, Family & Pet Friendly, Bordering National Forest and Trails.

  • Private 3 bed, 2 bath + outdoor shower, dog friendly cabin bordering the Chattahoochee National Forest and Cohutta Wilderness. 15 minutes to Downtown Ellijay. Quick access to a variety of trails for the avid mountain biker or hiker including Fort Mountain State Park, the Pinhotti Trail, Bear Creek, and Emery Creek to name a few! Enjoy dinners or coffee on the relaxing screened front porch or around the fire pit. After a fun day in the woods, decompress and wash the pups in the outdoor shower! For a nice glass of wine head over to Roo Mountain Vineyards. For the kids, it's a quick drive to multiple Orchards including BJ Reece (petting zoo!) and R&A. This cabin sits privately on 4 acres on the ridge of Demps Mountain but does not have a view.

The cabin runs on a limited natural gas tank. In the winter please set the thermostat to 65 degrees when you leave to save gas. Thank you!
Pile all linens and towels on used beds.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

We provide complimentary firewood, however, if you plan heavy usage please restock the wood shed. Firewood can be purchased in a number of locations.
The outdoor shower will be winterized January-March due to freezing pipes.
Absolutely no discharging of firearms on the property.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
First of all, our host Andy was very helpful with any questions I had and responded promptly. The number one comment eveyone in our party had was how comfortable all the beds were. Our host had everything we needed. We came to go to the Georgia Apple Festival and every thing was easy to find and not a bad drive from the property. In the evening, we enjoys a cozy campfire around the fire pit. Plenty of seating for all of us. And one of the best part of our experience is the fact that I forgot my Bluetooth speaker to enjoy music while we were outside enjoying the campfire. Not a problem. Our host provided a Bluetooth speaker too. All in all, the only downfall to our trip is that we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the cabin a little more I highly recommend this property.
