We have stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and we had a wonderful experience. All the staff were accomodating and friendly. They make sure to meet your needs. We have stayed in a room fronting the beach and the limestone cliffs, every morning as we open the door, the view is just fantastic! Only thing is, there is no shower caddy in the bathroom so there is nothing to put away your bathroom stuff like shampoo etc. Also, no fridge and no tv. Tv is not really a big deal to us coz we spent most of our time doing tours and swimming on the beach. The internet connection is great. Mcdonalds is just around the corner. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this hotel.

Orange Pearl Resort
We landed into Puerto Princessa Airport where hotel staff made arrangements for a driver to pick us up. Took my wife and three girls so it costed me $700 pesos each. What they didn't tell us was the van we chartered was a ride sharing van. That meant we had to share the 11-passenger van with 15 other people. I didn't mind at first but the driver stopped several times to pick up and drop other people off along the way. They squeezed in people even though there were no more seat belts. Our 5-hour trip to El Nido took us 6 hours. It included one rest stop for lunch and a restroom break. We arrived at Vanilla Beach where the Orange Pearl Resort was located. We contacted the front desk where they sent two porters (hotel staff) to carry our luggage to the beach. It was about a 10 minute walk. The porters were very hard workers carrying our heavy luggage so make sure you tip them well. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms but the Wi-Fi in the lobby was strong. They had free breakfast every morning. Typical Filipino dishes. Unfortunately they ran out a lot of the food items on their dinner menu. It was a blessing in disguise because the best food was in downtown El Nido Beach. Just rent a tricycle driver (average 150 pesos) and tell them to take you into town. It was a 10 minute bumpy ride but was part of the adventure. I'd definitely stay here again where the beach was only a few feet from the resort. It's also the best location for the sunsets.

Perfect location! Just make sure to make arrangements for pick up at McDonald’s with the hotel to get help/assistance with your bags! Transportation will not be able to drop you off at the hotel! I’d definitely stay here again!

This property is not reachable by vehicle. You must walk about ten minutes and actually carry your stuff while wal,king on the beach for about five minutes

We did not have clean water for almost the entire stay, both in the shower and in the sink it came out very cloudy, they told us it was because of the rain but the days went by and it was not solved. The wifi didn't work either. I believe that both things should be warned to the guests prior to booking.

Beachfront property. Excellent view from our room. The staff is great. You have to walk quite a bit from where your transport will drop you off. It is difficult to walk on the beach with a luggage. Maybe arrange a pick up from the hotel when you arrive.

We booked 3 rooms. They didn’t mention it’d be 2m away from construction side literally night and day... drilling on Christmas Eve till late... bathrooms were old, moulded and dirty. There was no water on 2 days out of 4 of our stay, we were told to use bucket, it took them 40mins to provide bucket although they knew we were down with food poisoning and needed water urgently, no help how to get water into buckets... after 2 days we had to vacate one of rooms as they were painting room next door and the paint odour was unbearable... they said we would get compensation for room cancellation but no further help on this and we haven’t got any reply to emails... lady at reception Nodded all the time with no help, we didn’t get to see any manager or some kind of supervisor in 4 days of our stay there... breakfast was so so, although on our last day we had to wait over 30mins for breakfast although we notified hotel and restaurant, we will be having early morning check out, so breakfast arrived when we needed to leave hotel... restaurant food was ok on 1 evening, another was terrible... 3 different dishes over salted and impossible to eat... instead of 2 pasta dishes they brought 4 (although we only ordered 2!) and forced us to pay for all salty and extra dishes... girl in restaurant seemed the only friendly person there. Guys with carrying luggage were ok too. Nice views, although beach very rocky. I’d not stay there even for free, very bad experience

Currently undergoing renovations. As a result very hard to find the hotel as half of it was all boarded up. You will have to walk approx 5-10 minutes to get to the hotel reception from where tuk tuks drop you off at Vanilla Beach. This means walking a few hundred meters along the beach with all your bags. The beach itself however has spectacular views and there's some good little beach shacks and other hotels for good food and cocktails. The buffet breakfast was sad. The room was very sad and I got sick from the air con in the room. If you're paying to stay on this beach pay extra to stay somewhere nicer

El Nido visit
The place was too far from the main street. It takes 10-15 minutes walk. Also it was hard to access during high tide. Bed was very uncomfortable, it was a box spring. Food was fair. Scenery was good. ‘‘Twas by the beachfront.

Much to be desired
The staff were relatively friendly but the resort was under construction. The airport shuttle was not free and the wifi only worked intermittently if you were in reception. You need to carry your luggage quite a distance to the beach and then on the sand so ask for help in advance. We had to ask 4 times to get a garbage bin and you only got 1 towel per person for your entire stay. The room smelled musty and mouldy and could be cleaner. The beachfront location is the only redeeming feature.

The location is great, we can see the sunrise and dawn everyday and the stars at night. The stuffs are friendly, service is good and breakfast is ok, except for the horrible stairs from the street down to the beach. You can find someone from hotel to carry the luggage I would be better.

The kids that work there are Great but they are lacking direction! Seems like the lack of upper management has a extremely poor effect on the resort. They say they have internet it’s a joke! No TV, 1 hot shower in 4 Days! They turn of the power off during the day obviously to save on energy which means no AC no internet which is only spotty anyway and only available in the office. Over all I enjoyed staying there because of the office Girls and the restaurant staff and the location. I work in the tourist industry all my life so I feel like I am not just posting a review but an honest review hoping that it will help.

Check in was easy We came early at 8:30 am They kept our bags : check in was 3 pm We went on tour A Came back at 4 pm. From tour Our bags was in our rooms Warning: no TV bo wifi NO power / electricity from 9 am - 5 to 6 pm everyday Our room was natuve family room , ee booked for 4 persons There are 2 single bed and 1 full bed No toiletries / no iron We disconnected for 4 days but connected to nature Our cottage or room / the waves at night almost reaches the stairs, sound of waves will lull you to sleep My 15 yr old son managed without wifi and tv for 3 nights If you buy prepaid sim card for your phone, buy SMart/. Globe has no signal You can swim in front o fthe hotel Not much snorkelling, walk to end of the beach near the rocky area/ stairs there are fish / snorkel Fyi : From the road to get to the resort : yiu have to walk down. Maybe 100 steps not too sure : you need porter for big suitcase abd walk on the beach to get to orange pearl And if tou need to fo to town : you have to walk up the 100 steps My aunt had to fake a lot of. Reak / rest to get up the steps For dinner : we ate at orange pearl ; food cost 300 pesos Las cabana 400 pesos Beach bar 450 pesos I love the disconnect and conn et to nature I will come back

Our experience to this hotel was horrible our things were stolen so as our next cottage neighbour. The place is very close to the beach with good views but our experience put us off the weather was bad when we were in el nido and there was no tv in the cottages so as wifi so we were stuck in the cottages for three days raining figuring what to do next. If its a good day the place is very nice. But due to our experienced that our clothes hanged outside our balcony were stolen my experience in this hotel is horrible.

The view from our room was incredible and thia hotel could be amazing. The problem is mainly the staff and this ultimately lies with the management. We stayed there for a week and as we are backpacking paid a lot more than we normally would as it was my birthday whilst we were there. The first room we were taken to was on the top floor it was mouldy and digusting. We changed rooms and it was better but still not the standard we expected for the price they charge. The shower door was coming off its tracks, there was only one hangar for clothes, no wardrobe and twin beds when expedia advertised it as a double room and the reason we paid extra for it. Every day we had to ask to get our room cleaned at least twice. We would give them the key in the morning and when we came back they still hadnt done it so we would have to sit outside whilst they cleaned. Breakfast was a shambles and hardly any choice and not ma y seats. They had a broken toaster and often ran out of things. There was no wifi at all. They kept saying it was broken and it would be fixed the next day but they basically didnt have it. Everything was so disorganised and whilst the staff were polite, they all looked very young and sat around playing on their phones the whole day! In terms of location you couldnt ask for more, the bed was comfy and we had hot water. But this place definitely needs a change of management and it could be incredible.

Right on the beach. There are so much activities to do that we didn’t have to leave the hotel. Like paddle boarding, kayak, snorkeling, etc. Loved this hotel location.

A lovely location!
This hotel is located beautifully right on the beach! Highly recommend an ocean view room. Restaurants near by and only a 15 minute ride to downtown area. Staff was very friendly. Cleanliness could be improved. Be aware, it is a bit of a walk to get to the hotel, down steps and along the beach, no drive up option. But it does make you feel more secluded!

A resort just steps to the beach
The manager should check the work of the staff on how they clean the rooms and washrooms. It was disappointing. It coould have been more comfortable stay. They have dogs in the resort that can be annoying. The staff is great specially Jing at the restaurant. I love the sunset they have potential if they clean well each rooms.

Close to the beach but very thin walls
Booked a room with 2 double beds when we got there our room had 3 single beds . I went to ask the front desk they told me they don’t have double beds and they’ll just throw a mattress in for us , I showed my booking to them and was told it was Expedia’s problem they should not have advertised 2 double beds . I was asked to come back at 7 pm when the manager comes in , when I went back I was told there was nothing they could do except instead of a mattress they would bring a full single bed and to come see them tomorrow and they might be able to get us a little better room facing the ocean . Well that never happened. Room walls are paper thin ants everywhere room are in the back that you have to walk through the tiny restaurant to get too this is a backpackers hotel at best it deserves a 1 star for it’s price and quality the only thing going for it is the location even if you have to walk 700 meters along the beach to get to it oh and don’t forget the 72 steps straight up to the road. The hotel is close to the beach.
However, it was not accessible for the car. to go in so you need to travel by foot when you arrive. There was no hot water provided or coffee and tea in the hotel. The towel smells very stinks. There was no comforter provided. No first aid kit available and no medicine you can buy. I had muscle pains from the tours that we had and it took until around 12 that there we were lucky to find a masseuse. The spa closes at 9 pm but my muscles were still throbbing with pains. They said they can only provide us with the medicine next day ans the hospital is too far away. The view is very nice as we were close to the beach. However, the food that was served could be improved. Chili Crabs were not cooked as it should have been.
