"Very basic breakfast. "

"So the place is pet friendly which is good for people like me that like to travel with my dogs. But honestly it was barely clean enough for my dogs. The beds were clean. The sheets were clean. The towels were cleaned but the floor was horrible. Didn't even want to take my shoes off hated using the sink because it was gross and so was the tub. And the people that were staying there were like homeless people just didn't feel safe and didn't sleep well. Wondering if the room was that dirty? Am I going to have bed bugs? But there were no bed bugs and check in was weird. They used a kiosk which didn't work. So I normally don't give reviews like this, but I was pretty shocked because I've stayed in motel 6's and never had this situation, especially in a small town like Effingham Illinois. I was there for a funeral which was stressing enough and then to feel like I couldn't even relax because of the people smoking pot being drunk coming and going and the filth I guess you would say it was not very accommodating."

"Rooms have 3 doors to them : a front and back door & the adjoining room door. It is very loud, basically in the truck stop with trucks and trailer noise all night. Also balcony was failing and they just had a 2x4 jammed under it for support. Very sketch motel with jabba the hut desk attendant who lied to us and could barely talk to us because she had so much food in her mouth. Tried to get refund after we looked at room and couldn’t. Good luck if you stay here. I would rather sleep in my car than this dump."

"Overall we do enjoy being there its a great place to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. The weather was perfect. The cottage does need some TLC, furniture in the main family room needs to be replaced. Beds are very comfortable. Outdoor grill needed some bolts to hold the lid on, brother fixed that. Windows outside need to be cleaned more often, cobwebs all over the place. Railings inside going upstairs are wobbly. Arcadia doors are hard to open and close. Just in general more maintenance neeeds to be done. "

"There was a microwave, not plugged in. A working fridge & freezer. The room was booked for 2 people, but only had 1 coffee cup and only decaf coffee. The cups and coffee were replaced when asked. The wi-fi password didn't work as no site was available to use it! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good for an overnight stay!"
