The house is new and was clean; it was very nice to be able to park in the garage. There is a suite downstairs that is rented and the walls are very thin, we could hear everything; with that stated the man living downstairs was not noisy or loud and I am sure he could hear us as well.
There are a few suggestions made to the owner by previous guests and I would like to concur with them.
1. Get nightstand in the bedrooms and lamps, I would also add plugin nightlights in the hallways or at the very least in the hallway bathroom. Not having any soft lighting made it really tough to find all that I needed to take care of my 5 month old grandson who would wake every two hours to eat. This is not a huge expense in my opinion and second hand stores (there are plenty in Edmonton) may have some cute stuff for cheap.
2. Get a cookie sheet so that you could warm food up in the stove. While there I only had enough foil to cover and warm up a sandwich the first night because I did not want it microwaved.
3. If you know that items are broken then removed them before you have guests checking in. There was one lamp upstairs and it was broken. I contacted the owner and she told me that she knew about it, so why leave it there, no point having a lamp no one can use.
The above items missing would not deter me from renting from the owner again. We enjoyed being able to spend time as a family there and still consider it a 5 star stay. Thank you!
