![The former Cistercian Kloster Ebrach, built in Gothic style, was founded in 1127. In 1200, Abbot Hermann I set to work on building the church, which was finished in 1280. More than 50 windows, 26 altars and, above the portal, a rose window adorn the building. The abbey was dissolved in 1803 in the course of Secularization. Since 1851, the abbey buildings served as a prison, nowadays known as Justizvollzugsanstalt Ebrach.

« Super hotel. The owner is really smart and gentle. The city Dettelbach is beautiful and the hotel belongs to one of the oldest bakery in Germany! They have an unique speciality, the Muskatzinen, really good (they offered me as a present for my stay in their hotel). The rooms are large and absolutely clean and very confortable. I can only recomment this hotel, it was a great pleasure »

« Cet endroit hors des entiers battus est vraiment très pittoresque. C'est un très très bon arrêt routier! Le véritable point fort est le petit déjeuner exceptionnel, avec des produits bios locaux, tout simplement le meilleur petit déjeuner typique qu'il m'ait été donné de manger en allemagne!! Merci!!! Je n'ai hélas pas testé le repas du soir car j'étais trop fatigué avec la route, mais je suppose qu'il est tout aussi bon. »
