"This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed at. Not only was it dirty but there were bugs in the room and not just in the bathroom but on every surface and even in the bed. There was dirt on the pillowcase and covers. Outside were a lot of unsavory people. When I returned to the place last evening around 8 pm there were two police SUVs on property and the officers were inside the front office. Speaking of the front office, they are “safely” locked inside. You can’t just walk in; they have to buzz you in. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough."

"The house was only partially clean on arrival. Sticky substances on the floor and countertop areas in the kitchen as well as dirty dishes in the cabinets and half-eaten chicken wings in the backyard. Body wash/shampoo dispensers mounted in the shower were empty. Debris on the rugs and carpet areas and no kitchen trash bags were available. Upon me asking, the host (Mike) did refund the 150 cleaning fee I paid and was very responsive when encountering the dirty unit. He also provided access to the storage closet to obtain access to some cleaning/housekeeping items needed (such as body wash/shampoo). "

"Host was pleasant in messages so I went against my better judgement and didn't take pictures of the lack of cleaning, and how badly the place was built. Thought it would be ok for the 2 days I was staying. The issues: Cobwebs on the fan, dirt and more cobwebs in the corner by the pullout, smudges on the walls (especially behind the faucet in the bathroom), marks on walls, stains on comforter, black smudges on wash cloth, and sheet, stain on shower curtain, shower handle fell off, curtian rod fell multiple times, wood cracking in shower cracking in windowsills, stains on ceiling, stains on side of fridge (and on rack where towels are located), floor didn't look like it was mopped prior. Place looked like it was built by someone who didn't know what they were doing. Nice at first glance, but provided pictures of the place are not accurate. Disappointed in myself for not taking pictures. Make sure you document the mess if you choose to stay here. I doubt it's even up to code. First and last renting through vrbo. Deleting this account."

"The Host would get 5 stars, he was prompt and ready to handle the situation. The place was lacking cleaning, from base boards to walls and filters. There was an open bag of Ice in the freezer, and a dirty rag behind the bathroom door. Trash in the kitchen sink and food crumbs on the floor in the kitchen. The bathroom sink was leaking as well. Beautiful sunroom that couldn’t be used because it had an overwhelming smell of weed and cigarette smoke. I will say after complaining to the host, he got on it and sent a cleaner and plumber out immediately. Great location and very close to NoDa!"
