Exceptional VRBO property/ experience
We were three couples staying for a week at OMG. We chose this property based on so many positive VRBO’s reviews, as well as the photos of the listing which showed a beautiful home and grounds. All of our expectations were exceeded…. from the house itself, to the variety of outdoor spaces to enjoy, it was a truly memorable experience. Eric and Doug have done a fabulous job of appointing this house with beautiful decorations and everything you need for comfortable stay. Eric was extremely hospitable and accommodating. We couldn’t ask for a better VRBO experience. Thank you very much Eric!

By far the best VRBO we've stayed at!
We have rented many VRBOs over the years and none come even close to being as nice as OMG. Most VRBO photos make the house look great, but upon arrival you find the photos must have been taken a decade ago because the furnishings are tired, worn out, and need to be updated. Not so of OMG. What you see in the photos is what you get. The house and its furnishings are beautiful and top-rate. Have you ever arrived at a VRBO and couldn’t find what you were looking for or figure out how things worked (like the TV) and there was no one to ask? At OMG, we really appreciated that Eric met us at the front door and showed us where everything was located and how things worked. And did I mention clean? We’ve never stayed at a VRBO that was so clean! It is obvious that Eric and Doug take great pride in their home and did everything they could to make our visit a memorable one--including fresh flowers in a vase in a couple of the rooms! What a great home! The photos don’t do this place justice. The indoor and outdoor space are impeccable and perfect for a single family or large group. The view is beautiful and location convenient near the state park and Eastsound. Everything was perfect, and the hosts were so helpful and responsive. We can’t wait to come back!

Relaxation Oasis
We came in by boat to Rosario and O.M.G was the perfect location. Both Eric and Doug were the kindest, very supportive, and most communicative hosts. The home is like a slice of paradise and worked for our family and friends visiting the islands for the first time from MI. There are so many garden spaces to escape to. Hummingbirds feed throughout the day and don’t seem to mind you sitting near them. Deer roam outside the property. Water glows in the evening and stars appear when the sun sets. They have done a wonderful job making it a clean, family friendly home, with an abundance of relaxation energy. Thank you Eric and Doug! Olympia , Michigan and Buddy!

OMG , one of the finest rental properties I have stayed in.
OMG is a beautiful property, in a fantastic location with beautiful views and a friendly and highly responsive host. Can’t ask for more. The house and the outside spaces are curated to the nines with taste and comfort in mind. The sitting area options are incredible but none beat the main deck with gorgeous ocean views. We virtually lived out there. Eric was so friendly, extremely responsive and knows how to curate and run a rental property. Would stay at OMG again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to others.

Rosario Retreat
We had an amazing month long stay at the Ocean Mist Getaway. The three bedroom, three bath property exceeded all of our needs. The house is nicely appointed and comfortable. The master bath, and entire upper level have been recently remodeled. The kitchen is well stocked and there is an abundance of glass and tableware. The house is super cozy and we immediately felt at home. What really sets the property apart from other rentals are the outdoor spaces. OMG is beautiful, inside and out. The flowers and plants are gorgeous, and everywhere. Eric even delivered fresh flowers to our door each week. The lower lawn has a huge fireplace that we found was perfect for s'mores. We loved the cornhole setup, and our kids loved the huge hammock. The wrap-around deck has multiple seating areas to take in the amazing views. Our favorite was the large area just off the master bedroom. Plenty of shade and comfy seating for our family. The upper gazebo area is simply amazing. When we looked at the photos of the property, we weren't quite sure how all the outdoor spaces worked together, or if it was "too good to be true" but all these spaces are gorgeous and flow into one another so nicely. We ate outside at the gazebo almost every night we were home. Our favorite was to buy some fish from the Buck Bay market and grill it up out on the patio. It's like a secret garden back there, with a patio heater and another fire pit. Deer would come to the fence at night and browse almost right next to us. The location of the property cant be beat either. Really, its minutes from everywhere on the island. Our kids went to Camp Orkila for two weeks, and it was less than 15 minutes to get them there each day. Eastsound is close, Moran State Park is right around the corner. We loved hiking from the house to Cascade Lake and the falls. The connector trail is just up Ocean Mist Way a little farther. It's a short STEEP hike up to the dam, but then you can access the all the trails, the boat dock, jump off the bridge into the cool water on hot days, etc. Olga and Obstruction State Park are just a few minutes in the other direction, and Doe Bay is not far from there either. I could ride my bike from OMG to Mount Constitution in the mornings. The ride out of the neighborhood is a little steep, but the ride back is all downhill! We took advantage of the marina, restaurants and pools as well. Can't wait to return!

A gem in the Pacific Northwest
This house was wonderful. A beautiful view, amazing outdoor areas and beautifully decorated and appointed. The property manager was very responsive and easy to work with. The home had a lovely and well stocked kitchen. The surroundings were quiet and lovely. There are stairs to get in and out of the home, as well as to use the second story bedrooms, so be aware is there are guest mobility issues. We loved this house!!!

This stay was perfect. First, Eric was an amazing host. The home is beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. The house is so warm and inviting. You are going to have a hard time choosing a favorite spot. The deck has spectacular views and inside, the walls are filled with great art. The house is perfectly located. It’s a short drive to Moran state park and just far enough out of town to be away from the crowd. Our family of 7 were sorry we had to leave this peaceful getaway.

Staying in this lovely home was everything we could have asked for! It is beautifully appointed both inside and out yet exudes charm and warmth---a rare combination. Restorative getaway
We came away from our week here feeling rested and restored. The setting is fantastic. Views to the south take in Eastsound waters and the Rosario resort, with pleasant boat and seaplane activity. Walk through the quiet neighborhood right into Moran State Park and hike around Cascade Lake or to waterfalls. It’s an easy 10-minute drive to Eastsound Village. The house was immaculate. It was also thoughtfully and playfully furnished. The open main floor plan makes family life easy. There is a huge chest packed with games. The kitchen is large, airy, and stocked by someone who truly cooks — with a lovely southern view to boot. King (main) and south queen bedrooms have great ocean views, while peaceful two-queen room faces north to the green hillside where we kept seeing fawns. Beds are super comfortable, towels are fluffy, and the furniture is all in great condition. All the little things are provided. The use of color is great inside and out. The yard is beautifully planted around multiple gathering areas, which are as lovely as they look in the pictures, including covered dining. In general, the house lives up to the posting. The hosts live onsite on the lowest level — which is easy to forget because they only turn up, magically, at the moment you have a question. They are cheerful and friendly. I want them as neighbors. Highly recommend, would love to stay again!

A little gem
We enjoyed our stay at OMG. The house is exactly as advertised, furnished with attention to details and taste. There is everything you need. Eric welcomed us at arrival and explained everything we needed to know to enjoy our stay. The deck and outdoor areas are great to relax and enjoy the wonderful view, the flowers and the hummingbirds flying around. We loved the deck area outside the master bedroom, perfect to relax and read a book. If you like cooking, the house is kitchen is equipped with everything you need and there is also a bbq in the outdoor recreation area. You can walk to Rosario resort, and Eastsound and Moran State Park are only 10 minutes by car. The location is just perfect to enjoy everything the island has to offer. We will surely be back.

Everything with a view!
This is truly your home away from home! Eric greeted us with a smile and walked us through the beautiful home. Amazing Home!
This home is a truly amazing property! We came to Orcas Island with our daughter, Son in Law & three grandchildren. The immediate impression of the home was one of beauty & cleanliness. The home is filled with great spaces both inside & out. There are areas that allow the kids to disappear into a book & also areas that allow for family time. The landscaping around the home is truly beautiful, it feels like you are visiting a botanical garden! The views from the front porch are expansive. The location of the property is just outside of Moran State Park. You can be in the village of Eastsound in around 10 minutes or on the top of Mt Constitution in about 12 minutes. Doug was a kind host, he was very responsive to any questions we had and was helpful with information about the island. If we visit Orcas Island again, I can’t imagine staying at another home!

OMG is Right!
This property fit our needs exactly - secluded but near many activities and restaurants. The listing was exactly as reality, and the communication with the property manager was flawless. I highly recommend OMG!

Great orcas house
Great house 10 min from Eastsound and close to hiking in Moran state park. The house has amazing outdoor space on deck and covered back patio. Eric is very kind and easy to communicate with.

A beautiful, comfortable and fully equipped home away.
My husband and I brought our grown children and baby granddaughter for a vacation and we all enjoyed every minute of it. The house was very cozy, spacious, comfortable and clean. The large kitchen was fully equipped. Best of all was the large front deck with a great view. The house was well situated on the island with easy access to two large parks where we did hiking. It was also a short walk to the Rosario resort where we dined once and attended a very cute organ recital infused with historic slides of the island's past. The town center was just a short drive away. The owners were very attentive and responsive. We will definitely come back to this house!

Fabulous!! 5 Stars!!
This house is incredible with amazing views from every corner. I work in real estate and see a lot of homes and nothing compares to this one. You can tell when a house is loved... and this one is definitely loved. My family and two kids stayed here for a week and had a fabulous time. We started the week with a steak dinner on the patio, underneath the driftwood lights and overlooking the water. The garden is something from a magazine and every room has its own theme and attention to detail. I’m super picky about beds and like to have a good nights rest…these beds will not disappoint you. Sheets, comforters, mattresses, and most importantly pillows...top quality. My mom was obsessed with the “I Love Lucy” laundry room❤️ Eric & Doug really know how to provide an amazing getaway...can’t wait to come back. Cheers to OMG!

OMG! Soft pillows, warm deck, fabulous views - Look no further, this is the vacation you need!
I have to say; it pains me to let others know how fabulous this rental is because I know I will be coming back here and they have every reason to justify a price hike. My parents, grandmother, wife, and brother/sister-in-law, rented this place out for a long weekend, and it was perfect. We showed up to an immaculate home that was clean, pristine and fully furnished with everything you could want. Coffee, towels, every single piece of cookware you need, tons of seating. Several beautiful, entertaining areas that are well kept and furnished. This place has it all. The location is the best on the island because you are within 5 minutes of Moran State Park, which offers a great day for your whole family with swimming, kids toys, and boating. A 5-minute walk down the hill brings you to Rosario Resort which offers massages, facials, swimming pools, dinner and drinks, and even shuffleboard. Go on guided kayak tours out of the resort, or just enjoy some disk golf. We had a blast down at the swimming pool! The view. OMG. The view is beautiful. You can see down into Rosario resort, hear the laughter of children playing in the pool, and enjoy big panoramic views of the ocean. I think it even overlooks Oprah Winfrey’s new Orcas Island property! The sunsets are amazing, with big flourishes of pink, yellow, and deep blue. Every single bedroom is well-lit and has two skylights. The master has a sliding glass door that allows you easy access to the deck and a nice breeze while you are sleeping. The lighting in this house is great, but sometimes it can be hard to find the right light switch because there are so many options. The main living area has some wonderful double sliding glass doors that you can keep open during the day to encourage a healthy breeze and allow easy access to the deck, which is where we spent most of our time. The deck has seating on seating and plenty of places to sun yourself or to enjoy a nice book or beer in the shade. The decoration of the house was amazing. There are tons of books to read, plenty of channels to surf, even some automated candles that come on in the evening and provide a nice ambiance. All the counters are granite, and the master bath is huge! Eric was extremely kind and courteous and made us feel very welcome. We will absolutely be staying here again because it gave us everything we wanted in a vacation.

Quite, peaceful retreat above Rosario.
If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, peaceful retreat above Rosario resort, this is a great home. The owners have done an amazing job setting up alcoves to gather outside and have furnished the home with a beautiful collection of art and decor. We were fortunate enough to spend time there with our boat in the marina (a short but healthy walk which helped us stay in shape after enjoying a little too much food on vacation).

Beautiful house, amazing view and gracious hosts. Loved it.
The house is beautifully appointed to be comfortable and functional. We felt right at home. It has several indoor and outdoor sitting areas. We enjoyed all of them! It has been furnished and decorated with attention to detail rarely found in a rental. The view is lovely. We took Kenmore Air in and landed just a short walk from the house, which was a treat. The location is adjacent to Moran State Park so we hiked and kayaked and were outdoors in the woods, but returned to the luxury of the house! Doug and Eric are perfect hosts and Doug's taxi business made it possible to be without a car on the island for a few days. Great vacation. One for the books.
