We used it as a launch point to explore the several state parks on Orcas and the surrounding Islands. It's close to Eastsound which has all the necessities you'll need, but still has a secluded feel. Beautiful and clean home close to Eastsound but just far enough away to avoid all the tourist traffic. We traveled with pets and they had a bed, bowls and an entire basket of blankets and sheets for pups to use. You could really show up here with your clothes and a toothbrush and have everything you need. They even have chair covers and a dog bed for our dogs. The house was cozy and had everything we needed to make a lovely holiday dinner; comfy beds; lovely showers; and a hot tub that looked fantastic but one we never got around to using. We were barely five minutes from the town center so that made it easy to get groceries or find restaurants with really good food. The hosts were extremely thoughtful, having all sorts of conveniences around the house like extra blankets and an air mattress and even a small backpack in case you needed one! They responded very promptly to every message I sent, even when I sent one without stopping to think that it was Thanksgiving night. I didn’t realize it was so close to other neighbors, but when we opened the door, all my concerns disappeared. This is a lovely house, well taken care of and very comfortable. It is located close to Eastsound and great doggie park. It is in a very quiet area with neighbors, but surrounded by trees. Very quiet and peaceful. Home was well stocked with bedding, towels, kitchen equipment and streaming services. Door lock code was a little challenging to find in my email, and only gives you a very short time to put in to unlock door. If you don't put it in within 10 seconds (something like that) you have to start over. However, that is the only thing I would change! Everything was perfect and we had a great stay.
