A nice hotel, food excellent, host and hostess lovely. Nice position. We had difficulties parking as it is on street, but that could be seasonal.
Our room was not for us, although it was very clean and had everything in it that you would expect. Our problem being in our 60's was that the bed, although very comfortable once you were in it, was up against a wall on one side. The ensuite was so small we had problems and the opening edge of the door barely skimmed the bed. There was no room for bedside cabinets, these had been used instead for the tea and coffee tray on one and the clock/radio/lamp on the other. That made everything very low and I found myself having to kneel to make tea as bending over so low in the morning is painful for me. Again probably an age thing. There was another small table but it was at knee height and could not really be used as a dressing table unless, again I knelt on the floor. There was a nice big hanging cupboard for clothes and I did make use of the ironing board to put my suitcase on. We like to have a cup of tea in bed, but this was not possible in this room for us. One last thing, there being no beside tables, the only way to turn out the light was to get out of bed.
The hosts were very nice and the guest lounge and dining room were very well appointed. The breakfasts were excellent. I would assume not all rooms are like this. We dont think this was a Comfort Double room with garden view as we could not see the garden!
