"This was a wonderful retreat & a really special, fun place! The host was friendly & easily accessible & made us feel at-home. They welcomed us & made it easy to relax, & they gave us privacy & made our stay easy! The house was very thoughtful & fun in decor and amenities, it was very clean, & it had everything we needed! The homemade muffins were so delicious! The beds, chairs, & couch were comfy; there was a shoe rack by the door; the kitchen & bathrooms were well-stocked, & there was even a handy pair of scissors interior kitchen cabinet - thank you! There was an awesome gamer recliner couch with light-up cup holders & a cabinet with cool, colorful lights, too! There were instructions for the various game systems & so many games (very well-organized, as well)! The big Donkey Kong arcade game was wonderful, & my husband was in heaven! My daughter really enjoyed learning about & playing some of the games that her daddy grew up with, too! It was a really nice time as a family! The location was both quiet & convenient. We really enjoyed the Circle Restaurant (Huge pancakes!!!), & we appreciated the close proximity to Dollar General, Lake Milton/Craig Beach, antique stores, & so many main roads! They had an awesome swing in the front yard that we really enjoyed, as well! Just a wonderful place & wonderful hosts! Thank you for the awesome experience! We hope we can come back again soon! :)"

"Our family had a great time! The cabin was just what we needed; peaceful, private, and cozy. The kids had a blast since we are also reading the Laura Ingalls books, they felt like Laura in the big woods! Check in and communication was smooth and easy."

"This property was nicely updated, very clean and welcoming, and the beds were comfortable. The ONLY thing I wanted to note, and it's not a complaint, but an observation, is that they only have double beds. I know some motels still have double beds, but for the sake of comfort, a queen size bed is the only way to go. Even in rooms with two beds, as ours was. My husband slept in one, and me in the other simply because I didn't want to spend the night fighting over room and covers! But otherwise, great stay."

"We took a couples little local getaway and absolutely loved it despite the lake being drained. The outside view is great and it’s very quiet and relaxing. Communication with the host was quick and very tentative. We would stay again"

"We LOVED our weekend at John's cabin on Leesville Lake. The cabin is fantastic -- comfortable, loaded with amenities and decorated to the hilt with interesting stuff (you'll want to spend some time reading the hot water tank). The outdoor space really adds to the charm, and if rain is approaching, don't worry -- the screened porch means you can carry on your outside time uninterrupted. Having access to the community's beach was great -- everyone we encountered was super friendly -- and don't miss the chance to get out on the lake on John's kayaks. We ate in while we were there, but there are a ton of food options just a short drive away in Carrollton. And finally, John was super helpful, answering questions and offering advice whenever we needed help. We're already talking about coming back for a long weekend next summer -- that's how much we enjoyed John's cabin."

There were so many things to do. The place and environment was very peaceful and quiet. We had the best time and can’t wait to come back."
