The Garden Home is only 4miles north of downtown Durango and has a park like setting on an acre of land. This home is a wonderful relaxing getaway with the exterior features such as a large deck, HOT TUB, BBQ grill, and fire pit, all for personal use. The main bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor and a spiral staircase leads to 2 additional bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. It's the perfect home for any season, as you can enjoy the flowerbeds in the summer or snuggle up by the fireplace in the winter. Home has central AC for those hot summer months and a wood burning stove stocked with wood for you during the winter months. Bonus is that it's only 20min to Purgatory! The host occasionally stays next door.

Beautiful property!

Place was amazing all around! Great location between Durango and Purgatory, just in North side of Durango. Everything was convenient drive. Plane was nostalgic family vibes, you can envision the oldbasement shop Great hotttub!

Ski Trip to Purgatory

Excellent accommodations with 3 bedrooms and all the amenities that one could ask for plus a bonus outdoor hit tub to soothe ones aching muscles after one or a number of days of skiing. Only 15 minute drive to ski area ; excellent location.

Nice “home” environment

This house made my family feel right at home. Very comfortable surroundings with a hot tub we enjoyed! Close to all activities in and around Durango. Be advised the spiral staircase to second floor makes lugging suitcases a bit tricky.

Amazing house

This house was exactly what we were looking for our weekend wedding stay. Clean, convenient, quiet. Had only one minor issue with getting into the house and the host was responsive and rectified it immediately. Couldn't recommend the house and host more, and bookmarked for future stays.

Great stay north of Durango!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house was clean, the host was considerate, and the garden was beautiful! It was easy to find and instructions were clear. Only 10 min to downtown, and 2 minutes to Oxbow park, we enjoyed the city and nature. So nice to walk near the river. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic relaxing garden home

This was a fantastic house. The gardens were beautiful and the house felt like a home. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen tools and basic spices. We wish we'd had more time to enjoy the relaxing house and gardens during our stay.

The house was really nice with everything we needed. We did not use the hottub. The garden and yard were ao pretty and well cared for. It was a good location. My daughter and friend were very impressed with the place as well and want to go back again .

Carpe Diem in Durango!

We had a wonderful in Durango andcat the house. Fly-fishing in thecarea was great, we found great restaurants in Durango, and the evening mule deer visiting the apricot tree on the property provided great photo ops!

It was nice for us because we wanted lots of seating for a short visit with family after a funeral. For the 4 hours after there was plenty of space for everyone. Its a cute place. Birdwatching was really good there. Lots of peace and quiet. Bed was comfy. Host was easy to work with and responds quickly.

Cozy and Comfortable

This home was perfect for our family adventure to Durango. It was comfortable, cozy and family friendly. Great back patio with hot tub and beautiful backyard. Large living space with fire place. We arrived just a tad early and met the owner Lori. Wonderful and friendly lady. The property was close to downtown Durango. We really enjoyed our stay here. Book it! You won't be disappointed!

Nice home. Perfect for 2. Close to Purgatory ski area. Quiet, clean, private, and well equipped. WiFi good. Hot Tub excellent. Manager very responsive to our questions. Only issue was getting cable services working in the main living area. Did resolve issue the next day. Will return again..............

It’s pretty outdated so don’t expect a new rental. Smelled like a smoker lived there but it wasn’t too bad. A little fe breeze masked it well. Host didn’t respond too quickly but overall, it was a fine stay. Decent location and quiet neighborhood. The place needs some basic updates and some plumbing issues fixed. We had a nice time on the deck and the hot tub was clean.

Cute home just outside of town, would stay again!

The home was a great fit for our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) and easily could have snuck in another kiddo or two. There was plenty of bedding, a few games stashed away if we had actually had enough time to play them, and a variety of tv streaming service options after an evening soak in the hot tub. The home has had fabulous quick, direct access to town. The one drawback we had was finding mouse feces in the kitchen drawers (not out of the ordinary in a mountain town with the temps dropping, but still should have been sanitized properly). I notified the owner and she immediately responded and addressed our concerns.

Mini weekend getaway dads 85th birthday

Older property beautifully preserved. Made me feel like I was in a cottage. There is no central AC so it was pretty warm inside especially in areas where the sun shines in and with windows open. The good thing was that as soon as the sun starts going down the house starts to cool down and the bedrooms have window units and fans. Owner did mention there were record high temperatures when we stayed. You do have little bugs from the outside coming in thru the windows so you will see them coming in but they’re harmless lol. The grounds were very pretty and location is ideal! Owner was very responsive and friendly. I would definitely consider staying here again.
