There is no better location for your winter or summer adventures. Our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom single level condo (Unit 501) was completely remodeled and offers views of the slopes from both bedrooms as well as the Main Living Space. The condo also features a gas grill, washer/dryer and WIFI. The building features a hot tub on the roof with area views, a restaurant, 2 bars, an arcade, a slope side deck, Purgatory’s ski school, the Purgatory childcare facility, 2 ski rental shops (one for high performance gear), and the resort’s premier shopping location, Purgatory Sports. With the deli right next door offering great sandwiches, breakfast, and light groceries, you truly won’t have to get in your car after you arrive. Bed Configuration: Master Bedroom - King Bed with TV and Ensuite Bath 2nd Bedroom - King Bed with TV and Ensuite Bath Living Space - Queen Pullout Sofa Book 7+ nights and a 10% discount is automatically applied. For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. Lots of extras available too - fans/heaters, extra pillows/blankets, etc. Covered garage parking is a plus also! The two bedrooms and fold-out couch can easily accomodate six people - very roomy and comfortable. The living/dining room furniture was all comfortable and we spent plenty of evenings hanging out there playing games and watching movies. The beds were a bit firm for our tastes, but someone else might find them perfect. The only item that disappointed was the kitchen. We cook a lot and the dishwasher does not do a very good job of actually getting the dishes clean. We ended up hand washing a lot of items. On the plus side , the property manager is proactive, super responsive and accommodating. When we noted that the oven mitts were missing, they delivered new ones the very next day. Apr 1, 2025 Liked: Location Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy #### Outdated, Overpriced, Bad Service The unit is hugely overpriced for the shape it is in and the service provided.It was not properly cleaned; dust everywhere, dirt on the floors, especially in the living, dining and kitchen rooms. We needed a touch up cleaning. Duvets were stained. There were clothes left from the previous guests in one of the closets.Although we stayed for 12 days and paid close to 9000, we were told to buy extra toilet paper. They provide only a starter set regardless of the number of people or nights you stay. So we had to drive 20 min for that, because the market in the Village Center was out of TP. No facial tissue as well. They provide a starter set of wood for the fireplace, but don’t provide a lighter or matches.There was a noisy and rusty vintage Maytag(1991) washer/dryer unit. The pipe of the dryer was not connected to a vent, just put in a plastic container, so the felt was flying all over when we used it.The key cards provided, worked for a few hours only, then we had to call the VC office multiple times for replacements and had to wait outside the unit. We couldn’t use the elevator many times because of that.The cookware/dinnerware was in bad shape and not enough - only three small bowls in a unit that accommodates six people. There was no salad bowl, nor enough plates for pasta and stew dishes. Teflon pans and pots were heavily scratched and rusty. Poor property management When we arrived 2 days after Christmas at 8:00 pm in a snowstorm for our one week long ski vacation, the unit had not been cleaned up from the prior stay. As in piles of trash in garbage bags, soiled linens piled up on the bed, dirty towels piled on the floor, toilets and showers dirty, it had never been touched by a cleaning crew. The only way I could get in touch with the property management company was through email. They attempted to be responsive By dropping off some clean linens and sending two ladies late at night who told me they were really too tired to clean up the unit with us in there and they will come back during the week. That never happened. And my unit never did get clean for the whole week we were there. We did the cleaning ourselves. Otherwise it is a beautiful location, pretty nicely appointed unit, with great access to the slopes. Just watch the management company because it is not part of Purgatory Resorts and upon checking in they will tell you it is a privately managed unit and the resort is not responsible for the quality.. ##### Maurice W. Kids ski school, rentals, and day care are all on the second floor. You do not have to leave the building. Negatives. The home was remodeled but lacked some items that need updating. Dishwasher is in poor condition and you have to rewash all the dishes before use bc of soap stains. The washer and dryer need to be replaced. The bathrooms are not really updated. Kitchen lacks some items for cooking such as a larger pan for cooking. Fridge makes a horrible noise. Some items that the unit owner can not control is the building maintenance. Trash piling up outside the main entrance. The entire lobby and drop off was not clean. The bell cart can barely fit in the elevator. The elevator needs service shakes from floor 4 to 5\. The stores are closed for the season and the staff has mentally checked out for the season. It was noticeable across the board in every service transaction except the day care and ski school. ##### David D. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fabulous time at the beautifully appointed condo. Comfortable beds and an incredible view from each room. Summer in Purgatory is absolutely breathtaking. We were able to zipline, hike, fish, paddle board, and enjoy all the amenities the resort had to offer.
