There are an unlimited number of additional parking spots right across the road in the ski parking lot. Our 6 bedroom, 6.5 bath, 2,900 square foot townhome (Alpenglow Unit 8) is the only 6 bedroom property at Purgatory Ski Resort and is everything you would expect from a luxury townhome. The townhome features multiple living spaces including, a main living space as well as a loft with Air Hockey and the 6th bedroom (Bunk Bed Room) also serves as a living space as it has a sitting area with a TV and Shuffleboard. The home is ideal for multiple families as each bedroom has an attached bathroom and the bedrooms are spread over 3 floors. There are decks with sitting areas off the both main living space and the Master Bedroom and both the main livings space and master bedroom feature gas fireplaces. The Kitchen has stainless steel appliances and includes a bar with seating and opens to the great room and dining area, giving you plenty of space to relax and gather. The brand new private hot tub is located off the Master Bedroom on the 2nd floor. Access to Lift 7 is less then a 1 minute walk from the front door of the townhome. Hiking trails abound in the millions of acres of the pristine San Juan National Forest. Explore mountain biking, backpacking, fly-fishing, hiking, four-wheeling, and nearly every other high alpine recreational pursuit directly out the front door. This townhome has an ideal location for both recreation and an unparalleled setting for mountain relaxation. We had 4 households staying together for a family vacation. Alpenglow fit our needs great! The kitchen is well furnished and the host was great with questions!! Also - the check out process was a dream. So much easier than so places we have stayed. We did pay the extra resort fee to access the pool and fitness center since we had several kids with us, and it worked out great. We went to the area without a huge list of plans so the location worked well for us to explore Durango one day, Mesa Verde one day, Ouray (highly recommend) one day and then the train to Silverton too. We also did family pictures with Haylee Fleck at Haviland Lake - check her out if you need family pictures - she was the sweetest. The layout worked well for us providing enough space for all to gather as well as separate spaces when the kids and adults wanted it. The property was well stocked with everything we needed. A couple of maintenance issues were promptly taken care of. Our only suggestion would be to get sharper kitchen knives! ##### Ann V. We had two young families with kids under 5 and the 3rd floor was perfect for naps and early bedtimes so the adults could still enjoy each others company without worrying about waking the kids. We really appreciated that each bedroom had a bathroom and a shower/bath. Each morning we sat outside on the balcony and enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains while listening to the waterfall. Some were all the way from England! This was the perfect spot for all of us to spread out. It’s really nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom so it provided a lot of privacy. We had 5 boys ranging from 7-13 and they LOVED the bunk room! The common spaces are great. Kitchen stocked well with everything you need. Short walk to the bunny lift and you can almost ski right back to the house. We had an amazing vacation weekend and the space provided us with everything we could need or want. The hosts also checked in daily via text message to make sure we were good, which I thought was very cool. ##### Blake W. Each room has its own bathroom providing privacy for individual families. The teenagers loved the upper living/bunk room. The patios provided extra sitting space. We skied and recommend taking a right from the house and walk up the hill and then ski down. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of skiing.
