It's tucked away, off of the beaten path, but very close to the downtown Durango area, including the train station (w were there to ride the Blues Train). The property is quiet and safe, and was perfect for our needs. Tim, the owner and host, lives above the property, and made himself to us if we had any questions or concerns, but other than that we never saw or heard him. There's a lovely backyard to sit in and relax, and he has 2 adorable French bulldogs who will come to meet you and introduce themselves. The apartment itself is very cozy and homey, and had everything we needed. The only "negative" I would have, is that there is only 1 full bathroom, so if you have a large group, you might want to keep that in mind. There's a 2nd half-bath/powder room, but only 1 tub/shower. It wasn't a problem for us as we only had 3 people and no real deadlines to be up, ready, and out the door, but with a larger group it would take some coordination. That said, the shower was great!
