« A notre grande surprise, la chambre ne possède ni salle de bain ni wc privatifs ce qui n'est précisé nulle part dans l'offre de réservation. il y a une salle de bain "familiale" (avec produits de douche entamés) sur le palier. l'entrée de l'hôtel se fait par un pub et si celui-ci est fermé, l'accès et la sortie de l'hôtel se fait par la porte de secours!!! la chambre est plutôt vieillotte avec une moquette abîmée. Le soir (et ce tous les soirs de la semaine a priori), un groupe de rock se prduit...

« Very dated rooms & uncomfortable beds no air conditioning or fan. Breakfast only available 8.30 -9 am even though the information card in the room states 8.30-9.30, was told this is only at weekends? So why doesn’t information card state this? « On a passé deux nuits pour aller-retour en Ecosse. Cet hôtel est situé dans un petit village au calme mais pas très loin du centre ville. Les chambres sont propres avec des meubles et une décoration très chic, le lit est assez grand et confortable. On a aussi dîné dans leur restaurant, c’était délicieux. Le meilleur c’était le petit déjeuner anglais, c’était excellent. Ils ont aussi un parking gratuit, c’est appréciable, je recommande! »

« An older property that will be considered characterful or dated depending on your viewpoint. I enjoyed it including the narrow stairs and corridors, and the historic nature of the room, which was not lacking for the usual amenities. I had an excellent dinner and the Full English Breakfast was all you could wish for. The staff were attentive and friendly. It is a short walk from the 24 hr public car park and is in the centre of town. »

The staff “alright” no real complaint but the impression you get is that the place is badly maintained The staircase leading to the rooms needs repainting, there are chops of paint missing all over the place.
