Single bedroom was extremely small even for a single, bed was small and uncomfortable. Bathroom even smaller I’m 6’4” and struggle to get into the shower and struggled with the position of the toilet. Did not try food in the restaurant. I can only imagine the better reviews have come from people staying in double rooms. So if you are over six foot stay clear of the single rooms. One other thing which is not down to the hotel was a boy racer revving his souped up car in an adjacent carpark at 1.30am- 2.00am !
Comfortable room, friendly staff and nice breakfast both days. Only one mention, hollandaise sauce I have since found out is supposed to be hot, not cool. I'd happily recommend and stay here again.

Disliked: Amenities
Room was a single, quite small and dingy, headboard was a velveteen fabric and was grease stained, not the best fabric choice for a headboard. Ventilation in bathroom consisted of a small metal grid one could see the outside and greenery through. Didn’t manage to get hot water although ran the tap for several minutes. Bed was reasonably comfortable but noise from outside smokers shelter in car park and the noise of a hand dryer going on and off until 11:30pm followed by loud noises after 2:30am and rounded off by the start up of the kitchen extraction system at 7am wasn’t conducive to a good nights sleep.
Breakfast was ok
Would not stay again. Not, in my opinion a 4 star hotel
Was pleasantly surprised with the room we stayed in , lounge leading to the bedroom with en suite, will recommend this place andcwill definitely stay again.
Only 1 chair in room for 2 people.
Toilet blocked.
Outside stairs a nuisance with bags.
Small en suite
Poor decor and place needs some update.
No food at night.
Old t v and could not read controls
The place is very tired
The breakfast was good though.
Beautiful 17th century building done to a high spec beautiful rooms. Lovely surrounding area. Great & helpful staff and the full English breakfasts are delicious. Can't wait to go back 🙂
Excellent hotel, if you want a charming hotel, comfort, very helpful staff and a fantastic breakfast, choose the Manor House. My room was small, but that’s the style of this hotel. Bigger rooms were available. Dronfield is also very nice, a very welcoming feel and good restaurants nearby to hotel.
Room was spacious and clean, breakfast was great, lovely place for a 1 night stopover I'd go back

TBH, I thought it was a bit over-priced. Although I didn't check beforehand, the room was next to the road and also over the bar area so was quite noisy. Although it didn't bother me, I didn't realise until I arrived that they didn't provide evening meals. (There were several nearby places to choose from off the premises). Room was OK; it was spacious but a bit 'tired'. Breakfast was good.
I really enjoyed my one night stay at The Manor House. The interior is very well presented and homely. Nice, clean and comfortable room. Friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. Delicious breakfast. Hoping to stay again in September.
