The location was easy to get to yet had plenty of privacy and felt like a retreat. The house I’d quaint enough to feel like a cabin but spacious enough for 5 adults and a teenage boy not to feel like we were on top of each other. We were able to cook an entire Thanksgiving meal with the cookware/utensils provided. We had a wonderful time! My only recommendation would be to max your party at 6 adults (that can share beds) or else don’t mind sleeping on couches. My son planned to sleep on the futon in the master bedroom with us but it wasn’t very comfortable. He ended up sleeping on one of the couches in the living area. It was located outside of town, so was extremely peaceful. It was maintained great and we never found a moment where we were needing anything. Owners were responsive. Cell phone service was hit and miss, but thats exactly what we were looking for. Very unique property, and we had our best fishing days right in front of the cabin! ##### Ray R. Being unfamiliar with the area, I did think that the house was going to be more remote than it actually was, and you can’t really see the river while sitting inside the house. (Both of these things the owner obviously cannot control). We did have some elk come into the yard and saw an otter while playing in the river, which was awesome! One in the cabin is not the one pictured in the listing. This place is located in a woody area, but could use an outdoor refreshing, lots of debris on porch. We all loved being on the river. There were two elk that hung out near our cabin. The cleaning crew did not clean before our stay, at no fault of the host. The multi-level property is built into a hill right above the Big Thompson River, and there are stairs down to the river where you can fish for rainbow and brown trout from their property. The property itself is commensurate with the cost. Our kids enjoyed the property also. Everything was in working order. Only complaint would be that we booked bc the listing said Air Conditioning. There was no AC. That was our main reason for booking.
