"I am extremely frustrated with my recent stay at Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort. Despite paying for my entire stay in full well in advance I was still forced to provide a cash deposit upon arrival. The front desk staff explicitly assured me that this deposit would be refunded immediately during my checkout process. However when I went to check out the story completely changed. They failed to return my money as promised and offered nothing but excuses. It has been incredibly difficult to get a straight answer from management and I am still waiting for the funds that are rightfully mine. It is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber to hold onto a guests money after a verbal and written agreement to return it. This lack of integrity and poor financial transparency has completely ruined my perception of the establishment. I would strongly advise future travelers to be wary of their deposit policies and look for a hotel that actually honors its commitments to its guests."
