Beautiful large room and the same very large bathroom. Water pressure is like Niagara Falls. Large property from 1571. Truly a great find. We had supper here last night was very delicious. Would recommend this place.

Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated. All the little extras (champagne at reception, teddy bear on pillow, bottle of wine, gift bag of chocolates) were greatly welcomed. I would definitely stay here again!

Great breakfast, amazing wine cellar

Arriving by train had to ask how to get to hotel as having NO working handy coming from oversees . The access to hotel very steep and a challenge using a walker (rollator), however it was very nice of the receptionist/manager backing down a car to manage the steep hill, although there are 45 steps to use. Later on enjoying a beer/wine in the very quiet lobby using the rocking chairs. To explore Meissen, we used a taxi from hotel - called by staff - to the Dom and from there a sight seeing bus...

Wonderful location! Great staff!

We were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this hotel was. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed that I have slept in during this trip! The hotel staff were friendly and although we did not speak German and they did not speak English, we managed to communicate. There was a locked bike cage in the garage which we appreciated. By bike it was a quick cycle into the centre of town where we found a bakery, grocery store and a lovely park.
