"Overall I had a good experience until the last 2 days of my stay. For context I was in the DR on business working 10+ hour days in some less sanitary and hot working conditions- meaning, laundry was needed. On Wednesday night, I brought down a bag of clothes with the paperwork to have them laundered and was told I had to wait until the next morning when room service comes & they would pick them up. I informed them how important it was that the clothes got washed, and agreed to leave it for housekeeping. When I returned back late that evening, my clothes were left unwashed & the hotel informed me that room service showed up to clean my room too late to hit the laundry window, therefore they "could not launder my clothes". As this was their error, I expected them to do my laundry anyways. They did not. At 9pm, they offered to let me use the unit in their basement but did not offer soap. Thankfully, someone had left soap lying around. Then the washer did not drain my clothes so I had to hand ring each piece before drying, which then took 2 hours. I did not get done until almost midnight. This service was truly very dissapointing. When a hotel makes a customer facing mistake, they should fix it. This hotel did not fix it."
