A few things I wish we would have know before we went: 1\. When we got to the house their was no fresh water. Be sure you pick up a 5 gallon jug of water before you come to the home. 2\. Due to high rains the roads were flooded so it took as quite a while to get to and from the grocery store. The location is remote so you don't want to have a flat tire. This was MY perfect vacation home. We wanted comfort, and seclusion and we got it! We stayed early November of 2025 and never saw more than two people out walking the beach. There are a couple other homes within view but they were empty. The deck looking out over the ocean was definitely a highlight but the inside was very nice also. The upstairs and downstairs can be rented separately but we rented both just to make sure we were alone. Also there is some snorkeling stuff in the garage (accessed from the upstairs unit and more in a closet in the downstairs unit. A couple things to be aware of. You have to buy drinking water and ice for drinks since the house water is only for bathing. Also the house is quite a drive from almost all stores and restaurants so buy plenty of supplies before going there. Spend time on google earth getting familiar with the island and where some of the stores and food places are. There are two main grocery stores and both are ok but we liked Gilberts better. And while we didnt explore lots of places to eat we loved Hidden Treasures with chef Trevor. It takes quite a while to get your food so i recommend calling your order in an hour early or take your swimsuits and swim in the calm crystal clear water right outside his backdoor while you wait. The property manager lana was great and very responsive to amy questions we had.
