Brunei is a relatively small country that is known for its robust economy dominated in large part by the oil industry. In fact, it is home to one of the largest oil fields in the region. Despite this, however, much of its rain forests and natural areas have been impressively preserved. Because of this, travellers who stay in hotels in Brunei will enjoy beautiful vistas of natural areas and access to parks like the Taman Peranginan Tasek and Ulu Temburong National Park and gorgeous beaches along Brunei Bay and the South China Sea.

In addition, the culture of Brunei is vibrant and interesting. A number of fascinating attractions can give visitors to Brunei a look at the area’s culture and history in greater detail, and you may consider looking for cheap hotel deals in Brunei that will place you close to these top attractions. Some of them include the Malay Technology Museum, the Jame’Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, the Brunei Museum, the Oil and Gas Gallery, and many others. A visit to Brunei would not be complete without taking a tour of the regal Istana Nurul Iman, which is the palace of the sultan and the largest residential palace in the entire world. Because Brunei is actually located across two islands, many travellers to the area enjoy spending time in different Brunei hotels on both islands. Others, however, look for Brunei hotel deals in Brunei-Muara, which places them in a convenient location to enjoy all that both major islands have to offer.

After spending more time learning about the special attractions and hot spots in Brunei, you may find that Brunei hotel packages in one area of the country are more conveniently located to attractions that you are most interested in seeing. Some visitors to the country, however, will book rooms in several different areas so that they can explore the local areas more fully before moving on to a new area of the country. If you want to find a top hotel with a discount rate on your accommodations, consider paying attention to the location of the hotel as a first step. Then, you can compare the rooms, amenities and other features. This will help you to enjoy your trip to Brunei more fully.

"A Palace you can afford to stay in!"
The Sultan of Brunei's brother, Prince Jefri, once owned the Empire Hotel and Country Club.Unfortunately Prince Jefri misappropriated 15 billion dollars of Government money and so the Sultan confiscated the palace and kicked Prince Jefri out of the country for 10 years and the Palace was turned into a 5* Hotel and Country Club. My husband and I had 4 days at the Hotel but what an experience. Our transfer from the airport went smoothly and the check-in at the desk was warm and inviting. We were swiftly escorted to our room where we stood and gazed at the floor to ceiling Italian marble bathroom, the intricate 100% merino wool carpet and snow white Egyptian cotton sheets. The Hotel has International restaurants including Japanese, Italian and Asian to choose from with prices starting from $17.90 for 3 course meal at Spaghettini. Rooms or villas are available. Our room was $250 AUS per night but if you want to stay in the room that Bill Clinton stayed in it will cost you $15,000 USA per night. The Sultan still maintains a Villa on premise and he stayed on site while we were there. The Country Club features an 8 lane Bowling Alley, 2 squash courts, 2 badminton courts, indoor swimming pool, 3 snooker tables, 1 billiard table, basket ball court and table tennis court. I indulged in the spa treatments while my husband played golf on the jack Nicklaus designed Golf Course. Our stay was also complimented by exclusive buggy tours around the complex and a sneeky tour of the West Wing.

    "Good location"
Hotel is in center of city, easily accessible to eating places and shopping. Hotel is quite dates but overall is clean. Buffet breakfast can be improved as there was no food by 9:15am even though breakfast end at 10. Staff is busy cleaning table rather than serving existing customer.
