"We spent more than an hour searching for the hotel, because the location on Google Maps is not where the hotel really is and the picture of a red building does not match how the hotel really looks like. The real location is almost opposite the Roman Catholic Church in the town centre of Kintampo. When we could finally check in, the manager told me that he did not work with on-line bookings anymore and we had to pay 270 Cedis, although Expedia had already taken USD 23.86 from my MasterCard. The promised included breakfast was not served. There was only a single bedsheet on the bed and, the night being rather cold, we were forced to sleep on the uncovered mattress so that the bedsheet could cover us. The shower was working but there was no basin to wash hands or brush teeth."
