"Bristol Hotel closed as i found out after booking, however staff contacted me and offered better room right on Baku's richest shopping street (Nizami) owned by same owner as Bristol was, I can not say enough good things about how the staff handled this and how far they went out of way to offer top service! "Hotel is located on top of a residential block of flats. The entrance & lifts are dirty. Room smelled stale. It was over-powering. Hotel was noisy during the night. But the biggest annoyance was the hotel "Policy" refusing my Girlfriend to stay. I assume they assumed that she was a Hooker? I don't know why. I wasn't given a reason, only quoted as "Hotel Policy". I’d booked a room for 2. Will not be staying there again."

"Apartments are fantastic, spotlessly clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. apartments are outside the city by about 15 mins but there is a free shuttle several times a day or taxis are cheap and the service bus which stops outside is even cheaper. I would recommend a visit and loved Baku. "
