Every time I book a hotel, I have two non-negotiables: a hot tub and a great view. The view at this property was excellent — I will absolutely give credit for that. Unfortunately, everything else about our stay was disappointing.
After checking in, my husband and I explored the area for a few hours and returned specifically to use the hot tub before going out for the evening. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door stating it was out of service. When we asked about it, we were told it had been down for over a week with no estimated repair date. We were directed to use the neighboring hotel’s hot tub through the courtyard — however, our key cards did not grant access to that property.
Had we known the hot tub was not operational, we would have booked elsewhere.
When we returned from dinner, we planned to relax and watch TV in bed, only to find the television was positioned facing the entry door, with the bed tucked around the adjoining wall. We were told it was on a swivel and “should be fine.” It was not.
Additionally, our balcony door did not latch properly. While we were on the sixth floor, which mitigated safety concerns, the improperly sealed door allowed loud wind to howl through the room all night.
We were told a manager would contact us regarding these issues. We stayed Friday night. It is now Monday, and we have yet to hear from anyone.
